They have broken a server and need $6000 to buy an new one! If you have the means, please offer your assistance!

They provide an excellent and direct service that many large sources on the web, even Wikipedia, do not: They provide access to reliable, non-judgmental information about psychoactive plants, chemicals, and related issues.

Or maybe they want to setup a good fail safe mechanism. If you go that way then the server prices are growing rapidly.

Given that, in times of prohibition prior to the information age, the knowledge that Erowid disseminates would have been nearly impossible to come across and that even in today's time, they are THE source for accurate information, whatever mechanisms they need to keep themselves up and running as well as backed up and failsafe should be procured by whoever's in charge of that. Time to help out...
