Evap problems

My freeze precipitate jar is having difficulties dropping all of the spice it's holding, and after some looking around, I see that I need to evap my jar to a 1/4 to a 1/2 of what's in it. I'm wondering if there is a way to evap so that the jar doesn't get contaminated. Last time I tried evaporating outside a fly landed in my jar! Also when I evap instead of using freeze precipitation, I seem to get dust and hair in the mix, which obviously is something I'd like to avoid. Any suggestions?

Also, I'm using Naphtha.

A few quick things that will help you out A LOT!

1) don't evap outside.
2) a small fan inside on a windowsill works great for quick evap
3) in the future use MUCH less naphtha and you won't have to worry about evaping. Most of the old teks are using WAY to much naphtha. for a 1 kg extraction I use 200mL of naphtha per pull. Yes I have to do 4-5 pulls, but I've NEVER had to evap to get xtlas VERY quickly. For smaller amounts of Mimosa use 50mL per pull if you can swing it. Use a nasal aspirator/ear bulb syringe and a milk jug. This way you can squeeze the milk just to get all the naphtha up to the very top of the jug and can easily get 95%+ of the naphtha out without fuss or mess. A turkey baster just doesn't cut it for small amounts.

If you MUST evap outside I suggest using a paper towel and a rubber band to hold it on top of the jar. Poke many very small holes in the paper towel to help evap time. Mason jars are wonderful for so many things, this is one of them. Inside you can use a flat tray to speed up evap time.

protip: don't extract with lots of naptha to begin with. you only need a little, when you shake it'll break up and collect all the dmt from the rest of the solution. no more than 1 shotglass.

If I were to use 100ml of naphtha and I separated the pull into 2 or 3 jars, would I lose yield?
