The more I plunge into the world of the unseen the more I become scared.

I believe that everything we do is for survival. And the organizations we create also run on this fuel of survival. So, once an organization views an individual as a threat it's only actions are to annihilate it, so, it can survive.

Doing psychedellics are a tool to unplug from your society and question why the things are the way they are and in doing so allow choice in the face of no agreement of the society around you. Such as Martin Luther King or Gandhi and we saw what we did to them.

Anyways, I have be becoming scare the unplugging from the "norm" will get the wraith of society. Do you?

PS. I don't think I am MLK or Gandhi.

swim definately gets fear sometimes, always hesitation... hes not sure why, he knows its always a great experience, coming back feeling good almost every time. And he also knows he'll be back in about 5 minutes.

Swim doesnt fear of the wraith of the corporate machine!

Since embarking on this journey exploring the Other realms. I feel more empowered and less of a victom of society than ever before. I see things for more of what they actually are rather then the delusion of societies priorities and empowerment of all things wrong. I see people running around scared and clueless not holding still for even a minute to ponder the conditions under wich they function.

In my opinion exploring the psychedelic arenas gives you an advantage that most people will never have.
Granted at times its not easy to assimilate but overall I see this perspective as a leg up .

As far as the wrath of society thats an interesting question. I think if your planning on toppling a government or stopping corporate greed your gonna have trouble. I think its better to keep psychedelic activites on the underground level anyway.

Sometimes I like to take a little grounding dose before my serious sessions. Helps me to face the chaos before I delve right in. usually helps the ole heart to calm down to.

happy trails. hehe

I think being scared before such an experience is a good sign. It means you respect what you are doing and confront it with the right modesty and humbleness. If that fear and awe disappears it means you have to start to worry...

I think psychedelics are a tool to shift priorities, which in this world can be a valuable thing.

with time and evolution , human species has ingrained fear into themselves , unlike animals and birds we choose to live in walled structures to cut ourselves from everthing at large we even clothe ourselves to hide an aspect of us or use it as protection , we cannot live like animals under the blue sky we have to be imprisoned by our ownselves ,
psychadelics only reveal that aspect of us to ourselves , i met a man living in a jungle once free from walled structures and society , totally free , well i thought about doing the same at a point of time but it scared me i was scared of the animals killing me for food and the creepiness of a night in deep jungle alone with no one nearby for miles to come is enough to scare me
so i guess psychadelics only reveal this to us so we might work on this a free ourselves of fear over time , fear of dying , fear of living without walls , fear of living with nature , fear of being alone , fear of God as some may certainly be , and tons of other fears we have ingrained because of human evolution being a story of endless wars , nuclear weapons , terrorism and dirty politics ,,,
i hope one day we will truly see beyond all this to which really is and fear will drop with the rest of human history , and evolution will take us to a different place without fear :d , however on second thoughts there is still time for us to enjoy our own fears :d sometimes fear is good as it protects us from total ruthlessness of our own nature

I'm mainly scared of the insecurities and character flaws that I tend to be forcefully confronted with....mainly in the presence of others, even good friends. But to mirror Elpo - it IS a good sign. Been at it 10+ years and the more I do it the more hesitant I get. It's a result of realizing the awesome power that you are intermingling with, whether it comes from you or not.

Fear is what pisses off the entities. They can smell it a dimension away. Make a determined effort to at least suppress the fear, and the entities will love you for it. They understand your predicament, so they can tolerate a little bit, but too much fear shows disrespect to them. THE secret is to just let go of everything. If you consciously OR subconsciously try to control the trip, the energy you put into the control will be transmuted into fear energy, at least in swims experience. Release control. Trust that your journey will be positive, and it will be.

I'm not quite sure the term fear or being scared of the substance and the possibility of the realms of exploration would be an apt description for myself personally, but I do get something akin to a physical nervous anticipation or a rush of energy before sparking up. I think its more due to a reverence for the substance rather then strictly apprehension though..
But I'm certainly not fearful of the wrath of society for taking a substance that is illegal or by some regarded as a taboo etc, I'm pretty careful about the people I disclose my experiences too and the way I go about it so I think as long as I'm relatively cautious about this I should be fine.

Just breath, the ultimate remedy for fear is love and compassion. All fear will do is hold you back in your journey. Respect is a necessity, fear however is not... There is no need to expend your precious energy on fearing society, rather than manifesting a fear for society radiate compassion and love for all humanity.

Much Peace and Happiness
