hello all, finally i started extraction

I found one missing ingredient! the F$#@n Scales... I have no Scales!!!!

come on guis i need help to mesure
30-40g salt
50g of Sodium Hydroxide

plzzz help if someone can tell how much will it be in spoons or something...

Are you sure Zippo Fluid is completely clean? i was under the assumption that it wasnt.. but then again im a noob, anyone have any idea on this?

it evaporated perfectly without any residue when i tested it.
for now it's about 15 hours in the freezer. will see the final product soon

Up to you...it should be done by now...
You can save and reuse the nap...if there is any traces left in it....it will mix with the next pull or be safe until you re-use it.

Did you mix the nap and the black soup well and thoroughly??
I would have expected a little more xtals than the pic showed...
On the + side...very nice and white globes...:thumb_up:

If you have more pulls to do...add a 1/2 handful of Salt...imo

i had a small accident while performing second pull.
i sucked up some dark layer in to the souring (btw needles is a bad bad bad very bed idea it becomes very hard to pull and push when in contact with naph)
...i stored naph in a fridge while collecting other pulls. it already had some cloudy shapes in it when i contaminated it with dark layer so i heated it up and tried to clean it. may be i flashed out some good part of it (i was afraid it could affect the yeld)

I used 3 bottles of Zippo fluid (120ml). 6 pulls in total
I'll post a pic of the last pull dish later. if you think there can be something more in the mix... than salting it is!

well, i guess it was a good start next time i'll be more prepared

Then 3 bottles of nap is 2 too many...
Yes the rubber in the syringe will corrode quickly on contact.
Still...you did good
You got some product that is nice and clean...

Dry well, and post a pic after the scrape up...
It will be interesting to see what you got.

Store in a little vial or bottle with as little air as possible and no light and keep cool.

Okay, if there are some flecks of dark, basified liquid (etc.) in with the cooling/freezing naphtha, what should be done? They are small, but scattered throughout.

worm it up and separate again?

ar may be you can take them out with a pipet?

Once it's in that roasting dish, it's hard to mess with it. I just thew it in the freezer and am waiting for additional help to see what to do. I was planning on all my naphtha going into that dish, but then decided against that once it seemed contaminated. Maybe re-xing will clear it out?

A couple of tiny flecks of base is OK...it will most likely stain some of the crystals brown.
Best to wipe them away with the end of you finger or a knife when you spot them but if you've already frozen...
A re-x should clean it nicely.

I think it'll be about about 1/4 of yesterdays yield

well... when they are dried...I would take that nap and throw it back in the base mix and repull...sounds like you could shake it up and grab some more..

second dish with pulls 4,5,6 was totally clean so I do not think re-pulling may effective. i stored all naph together. I guess it's coming out from the first 3 pulls part of naph.

now I'm thinking how the F@#$ should i drie the jar fast enough...
