Hello thanks for reading this ....

A friend has a problem ....

If a friend where to acquire 1.5 g ish of spice just extracted from MHRB then by freezing, but it looks very yellow and they would like to clean it up, how much naphtha (ml) should my friend use (per say 100mg) to re-dissolve her crystals before they freeze them out?

Would it be a good idea to use less but warm it up to about 40c - 50c so it absorbs more spice, then freeze?

Question relating to solubility, at say a 24 hour freeze how much spice could be held in say 50ml of naphtha?

is there some sort of chart showing spice solubility in different solvents at diff temps?

Many thanks :)

Peace

30-40ml of nap for a gram or so is fine
Heat first and then pour onto spice and stir till dissolved.

Remember to wash around with nap after the transfer to freezing dish as every smear and drop will be loaded.

non polar nap is soluble when hot and not when cold...

24hrs in the freezer and it all should have crashed out....re-use the nap if in doubt or refreeze for longer

Dry crystals for a long time (20mins or more) immediately after so they don't melt at room temp.

Not sure about the Chart...

:)
