Extraction Question . Pressure cooker.

Migrated topic.

This isn't something I've tried. But I'm wondering if I could get a couple of the more advanced extractors on here to weigh in on this. I've seen several Ayahuasca teks that involve boiling root bark to aid in extraction. I've also read a few teks that involve an extended acid bath in citric acid or white vinegar. I'm wondering if there would be any benefit of placing powdered ACRB in canning jars with vinegar and boiling them under pressure in a pressure canner? Would temperatures in the upper 200°F degrade the alkaloids?

Sorry, I meant to mention that I did search the Nexus for posts. I saw plenty of posts of folk pressure cooking their source material. I'm trying to find out if anybody has pressure canned their material in an acid with the intent to use an acid to base extraction to produce freebase.

I use a pressure cooker for all my boils and it works well.

I boil my MHRB powdered just straight into the pressure cooker with maybe 500ml un acidified water at a time. I perform 3 - 4 boils and then do a freeze thaw decant and perform an extra boil on the sediment and remaining bark (which I also allow to freeze and thaw to help lyse the plant cell walls) before combining everything and reducing down to a measurable amount

I also do this with my Syrian Rue, I just boil the seeds whole and perform several boils till there is no longer much of a colour change in the water that I boil the rue in.

Using a pressure cooker I've achieved extremely potent brews without the use of acid which makes the brews harder to stomach. I'm pretty certain that This method gets almost all the alks out from the bark / rue as the mimosa brew I made last was extremely powerful at 2.5g's which is rare you hear of people being blown out the water from such a small amount.

I think a crock pot with a digital timer works best. Put the heat on high for 12 hours and you're good to go. It also works great for a hot water bath which will allow you to pull out more DMT. You can even use it for a re-x! I love my digital crock pot! every DMT user should own one.

I dont really think there is much difference between normal boiling or pressure cooking.

What im doing to improve yield is to freeze any undried plant material and then cut it up to imrpove yields but that only applies to extraction that do not involve long boiling.
Somethink like making a concentrate out of for example fresh mint leaves.
Freeze > soak in alcohol > filter > evaporate.
