Failed attempt at growing psychotria

So last night I went to check on my psychotria alba(?) and I saw what looked like roots poking out of the soil near the leaf stem. I have yet to confirm whether or not they are roots yet but I have high hopes! They sure as hell look a lot like roots. I'll put up some pics as soon as I can

Hell, its only been 2 weeks and some change. It can't possible have roots yet right? RIGHT?!
Or can it?

Planted 5 true psychotria leaves on 6/20/13

Ended up getting 4 plants from the psychotria leaves. Not bad if I do say so myself.

It was either too hot or too moist. I think the leaves may have got cooked in the heat. They look kind of dead and have started to turn brown/yellowish. I'm having a lot of mold problems too. I think its cobweb mold.

To keep the mold at bay I believe you need more fresh air exchange & also on the browning, is the humidity low?

Ah that makes sense. I didn't open the thing I had them in for a few days...
I think the heat sucked out any humidity and dried them out..
Its gotten a little worse since yesterday. I will try keeping them moist and give more air exchange.
