The very close-minded nature of the adult may prevent us from seeing these things without some strong chemical assistance.

Excellent question. I would be lying if I said I had an answer.infinitynlove said:spinCycle said:Funny how all of the comments talk about how wonderful kids imaginations are. I didn't see a one that considered that just maybe they simply haven't yet developed the filters required to not see this.
Do you think we require these filters though, or we just develop them as part of conditioning to the physical world?

I do know that I had several experiences as a child that were as psychedelic as most things I have experienced with ingested psychedelics. I still value them greatly. When I first did acid, one of the realizations I had after coming down was Wow, this is that place.
None at all? Doubtful, but though I have had some very deep experiences I have never experienced what a lot of people seem to refer to as total ego loss.infinitynlove said:do you think it is safe to say on one level, psychedelics allow us to open our mind as if we have no worldly filters at all?

I would probably shake it off at first like any normal adult. But because of my beliefs in other spirits and beings, i would probably try to recreate the situation to make sure what i saw was really what i thought i did. hi there
i have a question, if you saw a fairy or an elf for a second or two then it vanished, would you believe it ? or would you shake your head and be like the movie aeroplane ?
"i chose a bad day to quit amphetamines" ?
