Few questions for first time.

I'm about to take my first endeavor with 5-MeO-DMT.
I'm sort of on a budget for a pipe - what would be the best kind to use?
Would a glo rod work?

About how many decent hits would 10mg allow?

Other than being ready to learn and keeping an open mind, does anyone have any advice for a first timer?
 
As most people will tell you here, the Glass Vapor Genie is the way to go. If you can't afford that, a wooden vapor genie would also do just fine I'd imagine. I'm not sure how much a glo rod costs, and I don't really know what it is, so I can't say. 10mg would pretty much be one experience. My advice to you is to tell yourself during the trip that nothing bad can really happen to you in this reality, you will come back, and when things get uncomfortable, just remember to lean back and tell yourself you'll go with the flow. Also, be sure to tell us how it goes!

Just going by the prices on vaporgenie.com, I can't afford a wooden one or a glass one at the moment.
I might look into getting a crack/tweak pipe at the moment. I think the local head shop has some for around $10.
I'm iffy on using the foil method, because 1) I don't like smoking off of foil and 2) I'm afraid that I would end up wasting a lot.

Definitely appreciate the advice. I've always done alright with realizing that things are on a time frame and that I will come back, but without any real experience with DMT, I just want to be ready for anything. I've read some amazing reports, and I've read some terrifying reports. All the same, I believe that a trip is what you make it.
 
Yeah, on the cheap end, I think the crack pipe is the way to go. As terrifying as an experience may be in the moment, they always make for interesting stories and memories in retrospect.
 
I have a clean glass pipe(just a regular one) - it's made of fairly thin glass. If I were to set my dmt on the very bottom, then heat up the bottom portion the bowl (without letting the flame touch the glass) - would this work?
 
It might work, yes. Make sure you heat it up slowly enough not to burn it, wait for it to vaporize and for the vapor to begin to escape from the bowl, then start inhaling very, very slowly, just enough to prevent the vapor from escaping while continuing to heat it. Be very careful not to let the melted spice run into your mouth, so maybe tilt the pipe forward a bit. It won't be optimal, but it may be enough.
 
Yea I'm on a budget right now, so I'm hoping I can make it work - if not I'll put it on some smoking blends and do it that way until I can afford a GVG or at least something better. Thanks :)
 
Have you considered a light-bulb vaporizer? No need for screens and filters but you feel like a total tweek. Not exactly sure if it works with dmt, but i know it works exceptionally well for cannabis.

Never heard someone to be satisfied with the light-bulb method. We had someone who swore by foil for a while, even he did not like the light-bulb.

People sounded pretty happy with The Key as well; competitive with the Machine for cost and ease of assembly.
