Hello positive creation,
How do I know how clean my end product is after finishing a stb extract? The top layer seems fine doesn’t look so gooey but the part that was sticking on the Pyrex was looking gooey and when I rubbed it on my finger it would melt. It doesn’t have that strong plastic smell and looks like parmesan cheese light yellowish and white.
If I can get any feed back from your experience i would be grateful. if you decided to be done with it without doing a clean up of the product does it have any consequences with health?

If it is gooey it should be up to 70 % pure or less. If it is yellow instead of brown it may be up to 85 %. And when it is only slightly yellow and mostly white it should be like 95 +.

But that is only rough numbers.

No cleaning up shouldn't be bad. There will be no hazardous things, although it would normally be preferrable to leave out stuff to smoke that is not active anyways.

When it melts when rubbing it with your hand there may be indeed some stuff worthwhile to get out, well in terms of purity, not health.

Also make sure that there is no solvent left anymore. When you used a high vaping pulling solvent it may be that it has not fully vaporized. Xylene or Toluene for example, but I guess you did not use them.

So just try it, but to get more effects from the same dose you COULD recrystallize and I would always recommend at latest after you got for first experiences with it - because why bother getting your stuff in the best quality, when you already make that work to get it?

Having a 100 % effect on X mg is better than only a 60 %.

Unfortunately the appearance of your product does not correlate well with its purity.
In other words, goo could be 10 percent dmt, or it could be 99 percent dmt.
However, having a crystalline product does increase the chance that you have a high purity product.
If you want to know how pure it is, you'll have to do some sort of analysis on it.

If no analysis is done, then a good safety measure would be to recrystallise your product with a non polar solvent. This may increase your purity and may provide you with a solid product, rather than goo.
