First attempt at low-dose Mimosahuasca, what went wrong?

started saying over and over "that's what it is, that's what it is" in my native language

Yeah, it's not always about visuals. Sometimes medicine just literally speaks to us.

This time, the nausea was less intense. It didn't appear at the beginning, it only appeared once the "bullying scenes" came up, and then it fluctuated. It became stronger towards the end, particularly when the visuals were fading.

Nausea generally intensifies when hard stuff comes up.
One can purge in a lot of ways. It's not always vomiting.
Shaking, sweating, breathing works as a “purge” too.
It's all about moving energy through the system.
Vomiting is just the most straightforward and all-inclusive :giggle:

Next time, I will have the same amount of harmalas and 2.5g mimosa. I think I'm getting closer to an adequate dose for a fully immersive experience without it being too chaotic. Also, if I still don't vomit with 2.5g mimosa, I will stop having ginger. Ginger is helping me to keep it down at first, but it may be hindering the purge, and I do want to purge. I know it will feel like expelling that discarnate face with big teeth from me, that part full of rage and fear (at least in that moment).

Tea from rue seeds would give an easier purge, imo.
However, you better continue the way you're doing it now.
You can always explore rue seeds in your next circle of work.

Slow down when you reach 3g of mimosa and do a few ceremonies at that dose.
The same dose could be very different from day to day. After around 3g, mimosa becomes a bit wild.

Don't be afraid of grotesques or scary images. It's kind of her style, really.
Angels could be gentle or fierce. Both have love at heart, but presentation and vibe behind are quite different.
You can look at pictures of mimosa. The plant is quite spiky, and people use mimosa as fences in gardening.
So it's kind of protective in a sense. We use scarecrows as a scare to protect our fields, too.
Working with mimosa, you'll develop a good defense against negativity and heavy energies.

Nothing went wrong, personal sensitivity vary quite significantly, it's not trivial to find proper dose.

My view on ayahuasca is that experience itself is like putting a seed into the soil. Important things will happen later, seed needs to sprout and plant is going to grow, do not disturb it too much. ;) . It seems that you are on the right path, this relaxed state you describe is often first stage of the experience.

I fully agree with northape that main ingredient in aya (or analogues) is harmala, not DMT.
This ^^. Great reply! On the other hand, IME if you are not achieving psychoactive effects from an anahuasca brew, It is likely due to insufficient MAOI inhibition. Up the harmala dose, and if you have had enough, that should be psychoactive on it's own right without any dmt added IMO.

I brewed 120g Caapi with 14g Mimosa, no egg white, no decanting. Medium heat boil for 3 hours then filtered out and added new water. I repeated those steps until the water began to clear up, so it took 5 or 6 washes. It was a 2 day process. I split this dose between 2 nights.

Ceremony time I took 200mg Harmine orally and waited until I felt it in full effect then drank the aya brew. Both nights were amazing, very very visual. Better than my times with Taita's though I did miss the community and live music. No purge until I did strong rapé after lots of water.

Looking forward to adding more mimosa and caapi. I feel the harmine prevents a misfire.
