My blend:

300mg spice(slightly yellow from an STB) + 200mg caapi leaf/ 150mg mullein/ 50mg white sage(salvia apiana)/ 50mg common sage(salvia officinalis)

Spice was dissolved in 12-13ml IPA, then added the shredded herbs.
The IPA evapd but some yellowish, oily residue left at the bottom of the dish.
What's this residue?
The final weight of the changa should be around 750mg as i counted, but its only 680-690mg.

Note: after the STB, naptha was polarwashed/dryed with epsom salt.

Do the plants your adding to your mix have essential oils in them?
Yes they do.
scrape it up addit to the blend store in the freezer... your good to go... some herbs that are more aromatic need to be added after the blend is made in a solvent to avoid the extraction of oils. many aromatic plants will have their oils extracted when a solvent is added.

is the IPA pure? do an evap test and see..

But I would guess the residue is just from the herbs (usually even green-ish when making changa).

yep, its pure.

Just curious - why the 2 sages?

JBArk

im not sure, just made it by intuition...i knew that i wanted to add caapi and mullein for sure, then checked my other herbs.
i read good things about the white sage so it came, the other salvia is in the game just because of its absorption properties.
