My first post after many years of reading.
SWIMS imaginary friend recently started his first extraction attempts after a couple of years of just brewing. How exciting it is! His first project is Manske procedure on 30g of rue with ammonia precip. He foolishly screwed it up at the end by using lemon scented ammonia solution(shouldnt be that much "lemon" in those few drops that he needs right ??? WRONG). Redissolving/Filtering/Salting again apprently helped with a bunch of black resinous particles coming out. He is planning to do his final freebasing with pure sodium carb solution for a hopefully somewhat pure product
SWIM friend's ambitions are quite high though and he wants to start building his relationship with refined spice in the form of Changa. Hence the rue crystals will have to be infused in the leaf/bud (he lacks the spice but wants see the texture of crystal infused herb) however there are some concerns in dissolving the crystals in IPA and Acetone for the infusion part ? Whats best to use ?
Also there would need not to be much precaution about burning the crystals since its more heat-tolerant harmalas without the spice ? Would be able to burn it just like a regular herb without much loss in a bong ?
