first try tek, limited success.

hey guys i think i might know where ive gone wrong but id like some experienced help if your willing to share.
I did a Norman's STB Tek using 250g of MHRB over 4 different containers with 20/80/50/100 respectively using the 1g/1g/30ml ratio of ingredients and due to a calculation error the naptha used was roughly equal to 2 ml of naptha.
i followed the procedure to the word until the naptha pulls, besides the aforementioned excess of naptha, i also thought that if i left each pull of naptha (after its three agitations) in the container while i added the next pull of naptha it would mean the naptha was exposed to more bark thus giving a better yeild. this seems to have backfired. i have come out with about .3 g of spice. it is not too much naptha to freeze preip as i reduced the naptha down in a heat bath when i realized what had happened.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

(p.s. i think there may have been some loss of naptha in the bark soup itself as similar to camakazis post Fuck you Bond... I'll have mine stirred next time! - STB - Welcome to the DMT-Nexus )

Depending on how hot you got your naptha, you may have lost some of your DMT during this step due to evaporation or something.

DMT can only be safely heated to higher temperatures when in salt form. Once in freebase form, you have to be careful about heating.

Hi there glasseyed. I have only done one extraction, so I am not sure of how much value this information is, however I also did Nomans tek with about those ingredients. I am not sure on this point, but you said you think some of the naptha is still in the bark? could you maybe measure the ml of your containers to confirm this to yourself?is it an emulsion? these can take a long time to separate. check the ph? these are just ideas, hope everything works out for you.

Gibran2, good choice of author, i think you may have something there there cause i reduced it at fairly high temperatures
