Hello comrades it's me again, maybe some of you read my thread introducing myself and know that i failed extracting using a video tutorial of extracting DMT i read all your tips and suggestions and be sure i will aply them.
I have a doubt right now and its about how many times i can effectively reuse naphta or hexane, i read in Noman's Tek thechnique @Pandora kindly provided me after some uses it retains more and more oil plants and reduces DMT concentration in the liquid, i dont want to waste too much hexane i extractions but i want to keep it relatively fresh to the batches

I would not use hexane as it is more neurotoxic than heptane, but as with all solvents, avoid inhalation as much as possible.
I use heptane and reuse the solvent indefinitely and have never had any problems.

If it seems to be getting a dirty yellow color you can wash it with an acid solution, preferably dilute HCl, muriatic acid will work. It could even be DMT getting stuck in the solvent, chained together in a molecular polymer. In any case, the acid wash should clear the solvent right up, and you could re-base the wash water to reclaim any DMT.

If you're still not satisfied you could wash it with activated carbon, a pinch in the solvent shaken up, then filter it. Activated carbon traps larger molecules in solution.

Lastly you could distill it if you have the means. Hexane is especially easy to distill because of its low boiling point.
