Forgot nexus was here...was busy a couple years

Tulamonk

Esteemed member
I'm an Ozarks Forest dweller living in town for the forseeable. A fascination and reverence for the carbon based organic life form and desire to turn entire area around me into impenetrable, edible jungle that prolongs life and cures diseases in chocolate, vanilla and strawberry, Inhabited by monks with God helmets who can suture.
What happens to professors that get left off the tram and must robinson crusoe indefinitely.
Love living at Tularosa, but seeking more rural. No artistic talent or creativity. Kung fu not bad.

Run a mushroom lab for Sons of Mercy dba'ing as MYKOS labs (optimum invenire et habeream -acquire the best and have it) and make most of the medicines we use.

We are planning to host events for first-timers and special days and we will have to provide gobs for those too.

I'm an Animist after my brother. He said the first religion was right all along and since it's just the overwhelming present truth, I agree.

"The creation speaketh a universal language.
independently of human speech or human language, multiplied and various as they may be. It is an ever-existing original, which every man can read. It cannot be forged; it cannot be counterfeited; it cannot be lost; it can cannot be altered; it cannot be suppressed."
- Thomas Paine

In daylight, I'm only 25% Yaqui, but ended up looking like don juan or a fence post thats been there a really long time. My mother, the yaqui!, said "Stop going outside!" I finally got out of her because "You look like an old marijuana man" now how you like that? I mean, I am, but damn? Now she buys me hats, but no actual whitener yet. When she found out about Carlos Castaneda, she started telling everybody we're apache. (cousins, but Apaches are bigger) I'd be funny looking for an apache. They would say "you musta been the runt?" or "I thought they just shrunk the head?" we have fun like that.

To natives I am a high holy power healer, but probably because the half devil and still just like everybody else. They like a good magic and to everybody else I'm just another monk from hermits that know a lot of neat stuff and like eating.

I got kind of busy for a couple years and forgot Nexus was here and it's a pleasant relief from the other forums I don't really go to anymore.

Hey, welcome back and thanks for making me smile.

We do what we do the way we do it here cos that's what we want to do, and it gladdens me that it should resonate with you.

Is it you or Tularosa that lacks the creativity? I'd say the latter, since you spin a pretty good line in words. Maybe you have a few more tales to tell, like what brought you back here, or if there's any information you might be looking for?
Say hi to your plants from me 🤗

Well I specifically mean things like the saying "if you can draw it, you can build it" where I have all the building skills, but my drawing is terrible!

I think I am as inspired as Prospero, but I admire the ability to manifest that in stuff like these beautiful posters and illustrations that convey everything organically without a word.

Tulie is a ranch town with a significant hippie/artist type presence. There is a "our great town" spirit from the ranchers to the hobos. Hobos aren't directly run off out here as bad as in alamogordo. I mean that outer world turbulence hasn't hit us yet and I guess being so close to whitesands, fire and floods haven't either. Both took out ruidoso 30 minutes north. I mean to say it's pretty ideal for everybody that is living here.

Thank you though, write is what I was supposed to do, insomuch as professorship requires it. I think there are plenty of biosciences materials I'm going to write something for the health of the spirit and the everlasting timeless person.

I don't know why I came back I was actually looking up cultivation of cyanofriscosa (allenii) and everything I needed to know popped up in a reference here - and the more I'm in dedication and service, the less I feel in common with the other forums energies and velocity. Because we have traditions about mushrooms and sacred plants doesn't mean we think we know everything or don't look for knowledge, inspiration, occaisional fellowship outside of our own echo chamber of ordained librarians and wildemen.

The church here in Tularosa doesn't have to use a lot of symbolism or hide everything, we just have to be discreet and sane like everybody else, but it will be the first time we've had a congregation that was so obviously and blatantly a big wode Church. Wodes beat the Romans with sticks and rocks, mostly naked, by their God. Merlin was supposedly a wode. We don't paint blue symbols on us, but we've never been in a war yet and I'm sure some of ours would look aztec if we did. How does a hermit relate to the outer world? In small doses, sparingly. How does an anicient animist congregation deal with the modern artificial world? Carefully, like the govt is the romans and its just that we're "your" wode.

And wode really just describes the blue color, like "Picts" merely meant "painted people" its Animism of our continent and mixed people, anglos and natives. Head monk for NM is full mexican, spaniard/native and so are a few of us.
We didn't convene to trip either, we just did/do and would have anyway. We convened for the works, by necessity of US law and to be able to legally protect our forest or other places.

I also popped in for a peyote whisperer, I thought my babies could look happier and I think I got that part figured out. I'll put some pictures up of their new habitat in a couple of weeks

I can't seem to post pictures yet?

Sorry, your posts got held up by a (flawed) automated process that required manual review.

It's late here in central Europe, so I can't make much more of an intelligent reply, other than to note that woad is also an indole-based substance!

I can't seem to post pictures yet
There should be a button marked "Attach files" just below the text editing box. If not, we'll take a further look into it. If it doesn't work, it's most probably a file type issue (at a guess).

Edit: OK, I just checked, it's a server-side issue, likely due to maintenance. It should be working again tomorrow - I hope!
