Freebase from evaporating acetate tincture?

Recently SWIM began doing some A/B pulls and naptha evaps. Currently they average about .1 dried and weighed freebase per pull. They didn't weigh the amount of bark they started with, but overall from a pyrex dish about the size of a loaf of bread filled with mhrb they got .8 total.

They don't have much bark left and are finding the current method very time consuming. They recently saw q21s 75% thread and started reading up on various ways to increase their yield and produce larger crystals through not having a freeze precip step and instead doing basically room temp evap.

They read for about an hour searching around trying various keywords in the search but couldn't find a clear answer about whether or not they could evap a vinegar tincture (which is easy for them to get) and end up with anything other than goo, which is awkward to measure and not their preferred method to store or handle.

Evaporating vinegar pulls will give you goo and nothing else. you can then base it with sodium carbonate ( look it up in the teks wiki ) or IME, by applying heat till you get something that does not dissolve in h2o anymore ( thank you q21q21 for the tip ).

As monomind said, from the acetate goo you can base it with sodium carbonate to get freebase. Then you can take that material and extract the freebase with acetone or IPA. A tek that describes this is the BLAB, where you'd be starting at step 5C. Best of luck
