first add base to your acetate, add minimal water to freebase the acetates, mix thoroughly, let dry

powder/ chop up to ensure anhydrousness

pull with dry ipa/dry acetone till solvent is clear, then once more

evap to yield fb, it will most likely be a goo due to the vinegar being impure acetic solution

I have not been able to find any instructions on freebasing dmt acetate that is dissolved in limonene. I have found teks for converting it to the fumarate salt, and freebasing the fumarate salt, but I was wondering if it's possible to go straight to freebase.

Can I just put in NaOH, naphtha, pull the naphtha and evaporate to yield freebase dmt? Would it be any different from freebasing dmt acetate dissolved in water? How much lye should be used?

Also wondering... how come dmt acetate is not soluble in limonene, but limonene is so effective in extracting it? This seems like a paradox.

dmt acetate is not soluble in limonene. if you think that you have limonene with dissolved dmt acetate you may need to revise what you did - because, as you say it is a paradox. So how did you end up with this dmt acetate-dissolved-in-limonene thing?

OK - first of all please ignore mew's suggestions, because there is a misundestanding - mew assumed that you have just dmt acetate in some goo form that you need to convert to freebase. But your post reads otehrwise, since it specifically says "...any instructions on freebasing dmt acetate that is dissolved in limonene.

I think a good description of the steps you did would help here. But reading between your lines and as you say "I did not use vinegar at any point", I assume that you do not have dmt acetate at all. You just have dmt freebase dissolved in limonene. My understanding of what you did was that:

1. you did an STB. mixing mhrb, NaOH, water.
2. You pulled with limonene.
3. You have now just the limonene, separated from the the STB soup.

Am I reading you right thus far?

Best way to extract from the limonene is by using FASI to salt out the Spice (and the Jungle) as Fumerate and store the full spectrum Alkaloids as they are or base the jimjam-fumerates and extract with a nonpolar like Hexan/Heptan/Naphtha to separate the DMT from the Jungle and recrystallize the Spice.
