How long does it take to freeze precip spice from naptha at normal freezer temperatures?
While having a scour about the net I came across a site for making homemade ice cream using ice, salt and water to get the temperature down to -21C or if calcium chloride is used instead of salt -29C. However I don't know how long these temperatures are sustained.
What occurred to me is that spice might be freeze precipitated quicker at these temperatures with the added bonus of not giving all your food in the freezer that nice hydrocarbon smell and taste as it could be done in a big ziplock or cooler box.
Anyone have timescales?
