How important is freezer temperature when doing freeze precipitation?
Normally freezer should work at -18C degrees, but mine works at -10 and cannot get higher.
I would like to ask does it affect the yield from extraction?
I poured off the naphtha which was clear after the crystals had precipitated out, but after I blew on it, it still got cloudy, that is, it was still saturated, but only slightly. I refreezed the naphtha and it precipitated something like 30-50mg out.
Should I be concerned?
thanks
