I've been doing searches and researching what to do in this situation, but I'm reading different things. I have a fairly large amount of naptha to evaporate. It's probably just over 1 liter, and was derived from a 2lb extraction. I figured this is considered a large amount of naptha for 2lbs but I'm not sure.

I now have half of it in a 10x8 inch dish, covered with a screen to keep dust out, and the other half is in a glass bottle. I'm debating whether to try a freezing method or not. I've read about slow freezing, fast freezing, which is better for certain amounts of naptha, etc. I'm at loss here though. I also read that sometimes you can get goo, and I definitely want to avoid that.

Any input is greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Btw, this is my first extraction! :d

Just to update, now all of the naptha is in two separate dishes, with a small heater fan blowing down on them. I figure the naptha should be more concentrated before attempting to use a freezing technique.

Ok another update! The naptha has been heating up from the heater. Is this a problem?

No, it is not.

Evaporate it until it starts getting cloudy (~1/5th of the original volume or less). Collect it in a small jar, close it hermetically with food wrap film and let it sit quietly for couple of hours at room temp. Then proceed to freeze-precip as usual.
