Before anyone jumps into this, please read this post. This is one chem I highly advise against experimenting with. The main reason for this is due to the fact that the line between a recreational dose and a death dose is extremely thin. Although, there are a few other reasons as well. Unless you're somehow getting "medical grade" sealed and labelled vials or synthesizing the stuff yourself, source is always an issue with GHB/GBL. What I mean by this is that you will generally have no idea how concentrated or pure your stuff is, which makes dosing accurately (which is very important) very difficult. Another issue to consider is physical and mental dependence. I've watched way too many people become addicted and show many dysfunctional signs of it and have lost two very good friends (and almost my own life) to this chem.
Let me tell a short true story depicting how easy it is to get into hot water with GHB/GBL. I used to be what I would consider good friends with a guy who owned a gym. These gym rats used small quantities of GHB pretty regularly so they had easy access. He used to sell me 20oz water bottles of the stuff at a decent price. Especially for quantity. Anyways I'd been dabbling with it a good bit around this time. One single cap from a 20oz bottle full of the stuff would usually knock someone on their ass. Two to three caps might be necessary to get the same effects for someone who has developed a tolerance.
One night myself, a girl I was with, and two other friends decided to dose and go to a Braves baseball game. I had a tolerance at this point and ended up taking two and 3/4 caps. The girl with me took two and our other two friends took one. I'd taken up to 5 1/2 caps of various batches prior to this night. This was completely different. Much much stronger than previous batches. The girl who ate two caps and myself were both totally unconscious before the first inning was over. This scared our extremely intoxicated friends and they dedicated the next four or five innings to trying to wake us up to no avail. Eventually this drew staff attention and paramedics were called.
They started doing very aggressive sternum rubs on us both (I had crazy bruises the following day) and finally the girl I was with gained consciousness but she was way out of it. They asked her what we took and she didn't remember dosing the GHB. She did remember drinking a clear liquid and told them we had drank vodka. They proceeded to take out and crack multiple strips/tubes of some extremely strong smelling chemical and holding them under my nostrils. Any person under normal conditions could not inhale this stuff without choking and showing obvious discomfort. I had no reaction. Getting frustrated, they shoved one of these in each nostril and continued with aggressive sternum rubs. About this time is when my friends said I started seizing/convulsing violently. This didn't stop until I regained consciousness.
The paramedics immediately went and got a stretcher to load me in the ambulance waiting in the parking lot. This caused a big scene and was displayed on the big screen and a small portion was seen on national TV (try explaining this to family and friends). Right as they were about to load me up, the girl I was with remembered that we had taken GHB and that I had taken 65mg of Methadone the previous day. She told them and they immediately injected me with Narcan to reverse any lingering methadone CNS depression. This is about the time I regained consciousness. My whole body hurt and I vomited a few times in the back of the ambulance. I didn't remember dosing at all and thought some kind of serious accident had occurred.
When I finally arrived at the hospital they immediately hooked me up to an EKG machine. The guy running the test was astonished and kept calling all of his associates over to view the results. I was told I was extremely lucky I hadn't already had a massive heart attack and that I wasn't anywhere near out of danger yet. They monitored me for the next two days, and although the EKG results improved from what they were initially, to this day my EKG's are still all whacked out. They usually compare them to a much older person with heart problems and I have to see a Cardiologist once every three months. I can't do any stimulants whatsoever and have to be really careful with RC's. It's left me with indefinite heart issues.
I know some people are gonna do whatever they want, but just remember that the line between recreation and death is extremely thin with this chem. It is so much different from social alcohol use that the two arent even comparable when you consider everything. Not worth the risks involved at all if you ask me.
