I'm new to this site, and hope to gain in both knowledge and wisdom. I have been skimming some of the threads; much is info I have encountered on other sites, but much more isn't. At the moment, I'm suffering from information overload, so it'll be a while before I can truly assimilate what I've found. All-in-all, though, I am impressed.
I am very experienced with a variety a psychedelics - experienced enough to understand the value of caution, having underestimated a powerfull hallucinogen once before. In fact, one of the things I have already come to appreciate about this site is the generally mature and constructive atmosphere I have found here.
The basification and nonpolar solvent tek is virtually identical to the tek I worked out for myself for the isolation of DXM from otc syrups, so it was a process that I had already mastered. In fact, SWIM, who had a similar mastery of that same tek succeeded in producing a yield of spice on his first try that was significantly higher than the .5% (of initial dry weight mhrb) which is commonly predicted.
Now, as I stated above, I value caution. Not one to tempt the spirits that govern such things, I am not going to chance just "eyeballing" an initial dose. I'm currently in the process of procuring a milligram scale.
