Ingredients

1. Syrian rue seeds (Peganum harmala):
-Dose: 3–5 grams

2. Root Bark (Mimosa hostilis)
- Dose: 5–10 grams of powdered bark

3. Water: 1–2 liters.

4. Lemon juice

Tools:
Pot, strainer, cloth/filter, wooden spoon, heat source.

Step 1: Prepare Syrian Rue Seed Tea

1. Crush seeds:
Grind 3–5g of dried Syrain rue seeds with a mortar and pestle or stone.

2. Simmer:
- Add crushed seeds to 500ml water (add 1 tbsp lemon juice)
- Simmer on low heat for 30–60 minutes, stirring occasionally. Avoid boiling vigorously

3. Strain:
Pour liquid through a cloth/filter to remove seed debris. Retain the liquid (bitter, reddish-brown tea).

Step 2: Prepare Root Bark Decoction

1. Shred bark:
Chop or pound 5–10g of dried root bark into fine pieces.

2. Acid soak:
Soak bark in 500ml water acidified with 2 tbsp lemon juice for 1 hour

3. Boil:
- Transfer bark and liquid to a pot. Add 500ml fresh water.
- Simmer gently for 2–3 hours, replenishing water as needed to prevent drying. Stir occasionally.

4. Strain:
Filter liquid through cloth to remove bark fibers. Retain the dark, viscous tea.

Step 3: Combine and Dose

1. Mix teas:
Combine Syrian rue liquid and root bark liquid. Stir thoroughly.

2. Final volume:
Reduce combined brew to ~100–200ml for a single dose

It works but I prefer taking them separately. First the rue then wait exactly 20 minutes before taking the Jurema.
Always on empty stomach, preferably 6 hour fast.
It's easier to hold them in your stomach taking them separately. Also the imao needs 20 minutes to start acting and the DMT starts decaying after 30 minutes so taking them together is not very efficient.

ok, thank you for the advice 😊

OP, did you try this yet? what are your thoughts?

Hi, welcome to the Nexus.

OP hasn't visited this site for nearly a year, so you'd best not hold out for a reply from them.

What are your aims? Do you have the requisite materials to work with? Do you have prior experience with psychedelics, and if so which ones?

If you do end up simmering MHRB, it's better to put a lid on the pot, and to do repeated, shorter boils on the bark with fresh water each time and combining all the strained bark tea at the end.

The mimosa bark tannins can be quite hard to stomach, so I've developed a method for selectively removing them while leaving the actives in solution, which uses vodka as a solvent.

Seeing as I really need to write that method up, let me know if this strikes you as interesting and we'll take it from there.

I consider myself as something of a Psychonaut. I have tried Vaped DMT several times, eaten more mushrooms than I can put a number to, and way back when, I used to be an LSD fanatic.

I have the requisite materials to work with, and I have a few years' experience manufacturing... other things... (It has been decades, but you never forget)

I am interested din your tannin removal tek, as I have never experienced ayahuasca/anahuasca, and the idea of mitigating some of the need to purge sounds like a good idea. to me.
