Did you guy's know that patron bottles are made out of heat tempered glass? I'm not the first person to discover this but I think it would help a lot of people that don't feel comfortable buying lab equipment. When i first starting extracting I attempted to do a re-x out of a shot glass. The shot glass couldnt handle the heat so it busted and i lost all of my dmt :( lol. I found a amazing recrystallization vessel at Big Lots. It's the perfect size, made out of thick glass and comes with a lid. The glass looks heat tempered when you hold it up to the light. It's made to hold seasoning/ spices and is only .95 cents. I loved it so much that I got 8 of them 😂. The picture bellow is the container with 50ml of water so you can get a idea of the size.. Have any of you discovered extraction vessels that do well with heat found in local stores? If you have will you post a picture and explain what it is? Thank you :) ...

You use those for re-xing? Obviously way too small as extraction vessels if that is 50ml. I'm confused,as usual.

I like using cider jugs and always grab them out of curbside bins when I find them. I like the long narrow necks for pulls, they take a baster well. They come in good sizes too, I have 750ml, 1000ml, and I think a 1500ml

They sure aren't heat tempered or resistant, just as fragile as anything,I've lost one in a crock pot with a mason lid ring under it.

How do you tell if glass is tempered/resistant by sight or otherwise without labeling? How do you know about the patron bottles? And what is patron? Isn't that expensive bougie liquor? 😉

Thats a pretty expensive extraction vessel:lol: i guess if you already had planned on drinking a $60 bottle of liquor why not use the bottle? Otherwise you can get flasks & erlenmeyers in various sizes at beer brewing stores for less than half the price & im sure they wouldnt ask too many questions.

After seeing your taste in movies it doesn't surprise me that you're confused  j/k.. You can actually watch how everything is made. Patron Spirits allows the public in for boring field trips  . They put their bottles in a machine and heat them to extreme temperatures. Personally i dont really care if anyone believes me  .. There probably to expensive anyways. I own lab beakers but there too big for my liking. I would like to find a bottle that's the perfect size for a STB extraction.

Take a shot anywhere you can?

Who's questioning you? You answered zero questions, and well, what?

You said you could tell glass is heat resistant just by looking at IT, not by watching the process it was made during a tourist outing at the freaking distillery where they make the sh-tuff. I wanted to know how to do that. Ugh, Nevermind.

Wasn't about star wars, but The Last Jedi is to deep for you, man.
