I'm surprised that this work by Etheogen Review has not been mentioned yet as it is a great read about salvia for those that wish to know more about the experience and it's history in modern culture. It also covers extraction and cultivation of this wonderful plant. It is currently out of print but can be downloaded for free from the Etheogen review website:
It is a bit outdated yes but it provides great insight into how to approach ska pastors. It also contains many trip reports and should give an inexperienced user a feel of the possible experiences that can occur on salvia.
