Hello fellow psychonauts, me and a friend here have had a great interest in DMT for a long time now but have never realized how easily extractable it was. We've both done LSD many times before and we think DMT is the natural next step.
NOW! It's an understatement to say that the depth of this topic is overwhelming. At first I thought "that shit is everywhere" but the only lesson I learned so far is that there are a billion different acacia's out there and not all of them contain any of the good stuff.

There's been this tree in the backyard of the commie blocks where I lived in my entire life. And I spent my entire day trying to figure out if it was a Vachellia nilotica

The neighbors here trim some of its branches off every year or so and I'm thinking why not try and extract DMT out of it anyways. It doesn't have thorns probably because it's a mature tree. The leaflets don't usually look like that it's just because it spent a bunch of time on the ground before I picked it up. They're feathery and branch in two sides when they're on the tree.

Would the leaves or bark contain more DMT?
Would lye and water and naphta be enough to extract it? If it works and I don't accidentally kill myself then i'll be satisfied with the results.
Here's a branch sample. And thank you so much for the infinite amount of info that you guys drop here for free!

Hello, @zimtweaks,

Welcome to the Nexus! Glad to have you on board. We share a love for LSD it would seem. I wonder, what is the single most profound lesson you learned from working with it, if you're comfortable talking about it of course.

In terms of the photos you shared - it would help if you can snap pics of the leaves being fully visible and not shriveled up from dehydration, but from my research and image comparison, it seems to be either of the following two:
1. Leucaena leucocephala
2. Vachellia farnesiana

Both of them do not contain any psychoactives that would be of interest to people like us, from what I can see. Still, I am by no means a botanical expert, so I might be completely wrong in my assessment, and I hope others can chime in and help you identify it. But again, a fresh photo with leaves, seed pods and flowers clearly visible on a neutral colored, plain background would be immensely helpful.

In any case, I hope you have fun on the forum, and will connect with many like-minded explorers around here :)

Thank you so much @Nydex It seems the plant is definitely a Leucaena leucocephala, since that's the only plant so far that I found entirely matches the sample that I have. I'm most likely gonna go with phalaris aquatica for the extraction since it's the one of the only DMT containing plants in my region and by far the most easily identifiable. I'll definitely be updating this thread whenever I find anything! And great thanks for the quick reply.
As for LSD. I rarely ever reflected on my trips in any meaningful way. For some reason the sound of my friends laughing in the background in a different room really stuck with me as something that is just beautifully human. And I was really terrified at times when I was too deep in my own head and genuinely forgot who I was.
I'm really terrible at explaining abstract ideas but it was still all extremely beautiful and unlike any other substance I ever done. If there was some lesson to be learned it would be that not all "drugs" are the same. I will never look at LSD as a drug that I'll do recreationally the same way I would do any other substance I tried. It's just different.

You can't go wrong with Phalaris Aquatica, there's also a fair bit of info on the forum about this plant and how to work with it. You can use the forum's search engine to find relevant information.

As for LSD, indeed it is quite different and not something I could ever do "just for fun". For me, it has always been a tool to be used carefully, respectfully, and at the right time. It's been a while since I've worked with it, but it was the first psychedelic I ever took, and isn't something I can take around other people if I want to have a productive experience, because it makes me extremely sensitive to energy, and far too aware of other people's "vibe".

Have you ever worked with it alone, or has it always been in the presence of other people?

Alone has been my way to go too. Or with a very specific friend who understands that it should also be done alone, when we do it together in reality we each take a separate room for most of the trip and meet up occasionally to chat which is always fun. Or stare out of the window at random trees and buildings for like 30 minutes.
The two times I did it in groups of friends it was absolutely terrifying. My gf was entirely convinced that I hated her throughout the entire trip lmao. ANYWAYS
@Nydex I spent the last hour cycling to places with grasses and stuff and without further ado.
Did I hit the jackpot? I've been lurking here for a good while but identifying the plants has always been the scariest and most annoying part for me haha.
