Just 48 hours ago, I knew almost nothing about any type of psychedelic drugs. I have never smoked or drank in my life.

But exactly 48 hours ago :-

*Two of my closed friends came to my house to spend the night. Its summer vacation here and there is a lot of free time. Parents are away too.
*They bring along some weed joints with them. They said that they bought it for me too and that I should take it because weed is harmless and the joints were expensive too.
*I have only smoked cigarettes upto this point in my life. I knew that cannabis was kinda hard to come by and expensive too so never bothered to try them out. So I take one of the joint and light it up and begin to smoke it.
*At this point I begin to have a mild psychedelic trip. It felt like i was being pulled out of this reality, I was concentrating a lot on my third eye and it felt as if someone/something inside my mind was trying to talk to me. I felt very strange throughtout the process. I was watching TV and talking to my friends and it felt as if I was talking to some kind of spirits. After about 20/25 minutes of this trippy feeling I began getting a feeling of calmness and felt like I needed to go inside some place in my mind(hyperspace?) and felt like it was calling me. But for reason, I couldn't.
*After around 40/45 minutes, I am completely back.
* I ask my friends what that was? I have read about cannabis and I am almost a 100% sure cannabis cannot do this. So what was it? LSD, MDMA or something else?? They say that the weed was laced with imported Salvia. I was angry with them at first for not informing me. But I did not say anything because the trip was awesome and I knew that I will be requiring more of such "laced joints" from them so I don't wanna piss them off.
*Next morning I spend all of my time researching about psychedelic and came across DMT. I watched the documentary "DMT: The Spirit Molecule" and it convinced me that I HAD to try DMT.
*I came across this DMT-Nexus and Erowid and learnt a lot about DMT - what plants have it, how it is extracted, various tek's, its legality etc.
*I have created a document which has the names of atleast 10 trees(Edit: found atleast 20 trees now) that contains DMT in India and I will post it as soon as I get posting privileges.

TLDR : Smoked some laced weed, got interested in psychedelics(specially DMT), now want to try out DMT and am researching on trees that have DMT in India.

Welcome!

I would be a little upset too if someone laced a joint and didn't tell me beforehand. Especially with something like Salvia. I would ask questions next time before smoking anything from those "friends"...

It is good to see you are interested in researching such a wonderful molecule! Have a look around and don't be afraid to ask questions if needed! Have a nice day!

AWESOME that you are from India. Maybe the Vedic Soma was DMT?

Welcome to the Nexus. You can learn many interesting and helpful things here.

DMT and this place has helped alot of people and I am far from the only member to attest to that.

Come over to chat sometime for sure.😁

And the laced joints sound super shaaaaady, I would not be smoking anything from those guys. It could very well likely be a Research Chemical of unknown origin and type that you are smoking. Could likely even be PCP! I have been dosed on "wet" blunts, as they say where I am from, and they contained PCP and it has been a rough trip a few times. Not something I'd want to repeat.

I have some friends that related a story about their crazy roommate dosing them on a "Jeffrey"[ a joint containing 10+ substances] and this particular one had all the classics plus lots of research chemicals. They said it still haunts them to this day! PTSD-like symptoms even. Unknown mixes are a no no.

Treat the plants as a sacrament with respect as much as you can.

Better MAKE SURE that its just salvia and cannabis and then decide if you wanna continue smoking those joints.

Welcome to the world of psychedelics...

It is an infinite world full of both beautiful & terrifying surprises.

Be prudent, be safe & most of all, love yourself & be kind to yourself no matter what.

Much peace & best of luck to you in your journeys!:)

That very pretty scary they gave you salvia without telling you :( . It's very different from DMT but at high doses salvia is on par with DMT as far as intensity/weirdness goes. I'd avoid taking anything from those people. Glad you had a good experience though and it turned out ok, because it could have been quite the opposite to say the least.

Welcome to the nexus!

Salvia can be amazing when you are ingesting on purpose - if you ever look into it again I recommend chewing the leaves over smoking the extract - completely different experience in any way. Might be one of the most powerful teachers out there, but you have to know how to work with her....

Hope your journey goes well - sounds like a whole new world awaits you ;)

Welcome to the Nexus, good to have people around who aren't from the western realms!

Haha, you certainly have to. :d No personal experience = hearsay.

To me, that sounds like an advantage very few people have. Maybe it's a good idea to even not start with these behaviors since smoke kills your lungs. We had a thread on this lately:

Also vaped DMT might be too overwhelming and not beneficial for a beginner, so I'd recommend looking into Ayahuasca/oral DMT + harmalas. Since chemistry will be your new friend, a harmala extraction is even easier than a DMT extraction and you might save your money on vaping gear.

Have fun exploring the Nexus, it's a like a well without a bottom.
