Ground/powdered syrian rue stability

If I grind/powder my syrian rue, will it degrade or lose potency over time if left in a plastic container in the dark for the most part or will it be fine? Like for a week or 2..

If you store it correctly you can definitely still use it within the next year or so. The harmaline will still be stable enough. Although I am uncertain of other compounds within the seeds and their stability.

Nope. Not my question. I'm talking a about powdered rue. As in ground up. Are the maois less stable when the seeds are ground?

Okay, well I don't think it makes a difference. Plastic isn't light protecting by the way. Anything you ground up will lose some potency over-time, as with rue. May I ask why you are storing powered rue instead of the whole seeds themselves, and then just grounding them up when the time is of use?

It shouldn't matter at all, as harmala alkaloids are quite stable. I have extracted alkaloids that have been sitting in mason jars for years and are every bit as potent as when they were first extracted.

Thanks guys. I was gonna use them after I ground them up but something came up..
