A comment in another thread sparked my curiosity.
Some people have the luxury of going to Peru. Some people have the luxury of owning huge tracts of land.
Some people live in the city, make between $20-30k/year, and rent basements. These same people who do have friends with yerts on huge tracts of land will find the yerts are buried in the snow at this time of year, anyway, and therefore, useless.
So... for all the urban people who resonate more with this kind of situation, how do you set up for ceremonies? How do you set up for group ceremonies?
Crystals, candles, visionary art, flower petals, rattles... a dreamer I know likes to feel connected with spiritual territory, and be reminded of spiritual cultures that tread the same visionary realms. It is quite inspiring. Also, dreamer longs to feel connected with nature, so a big dried willow branch, for example, is something cool to have around. Dreamer finds a nicely decorated ceremony space, full of reminders, ways to connect, and inspiration, with spirit and nature, a great way to set up for and conduct ceremony. Houseplants are amazing friends to have around, too.
What are your thoughts? Is this so strange?
Friends have commented in a group ceremony that a large glass table, covered in petals, crystal skulls, chumpi stones, smudge bowls, etc., was an incredibly beautiful sight to behold, especially in the company of the molecule.
Edit: I think the rationale is, "Well, if I can't BE in nature, if I can't BE with shamans, I can at least fill sacred space full of things from nature and shamans while humbly imploring their guidance!" We are all connected in spirit... It will be great, one day, to finally see the Amazon with not only the third, but first and second eyes, all together.

Urban Parks have been the closest things for some. Got to make most of what you can! But then agian if you from the city you have to make a day trip of it (sorry for pun) because it is likley you would not be fit for commuting.
