growing heavenly blues's and poppies

Hey guys!:d

i planted about 60 morning glory seeds a few days ago and 53 of them germinated!
but i just need some tips on growing these babies?
I also have a few papever soomni's growing at the moment and still waiting for my seeds to germinate... but they're taking forever to germinate! its been probably almost 2 weeks and still nothing? starting to worry a lil... all the seeds where freshly harvested from fresh pods, then left to dry a biy and then sowwed onto a few biggish pots, i mist them daily to eep the soil moist. or do they useally take so long to germinate?

i'll post pics later when i have more time of how they're growing

Not too sure about the poppies, morning glory are easy, just give them some water a trellice of sorts and a good bit of sun. They will take off and delight you. Ive actually seen morning glorys sprout after just a nights rest if I soaked them 12 hours prior.

yeah i heard you must soak them or atleast 12 hours to soften the outer shell. mine germinated in 2 days but havent started making leaves yet.

Morning glories will thrive easily. Just avoid having the soil too damp, and be ready to have something (stick, net, grid...) for the shoots to climb to.

Poppy seeds should germinate in three weeks at most. Keep in mind, though, that they need some light in order to germinate so if you buried them (or spread soil on top of them) they might not sprout at all. Also, they like not too high temperatures for germination, and as usual they dislike damp soil. They also dislike being transplanted. Jiffy peat pellets or coconut fiber disposable pots will work great, so once they sprout and have some roots developed (once the roots peek out of the growing medium) you can simply move them right inside of a bigger pot.

Watering them from below, letting the container absorb water until the surface is slightly moist, is a good way to prepare the pots before sowing.

i cant get poppies to sprout until the temps cool down a few nice frosts do the trick
