The summer has finally arrived and my Salvia plants are really enjoying it outside in the shade. Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond my control I'm forced to relocate. I'm moving to an area where I can still bring the plants outside once and a while but for the most part there going to have to stay inside. the place I'm moving to is a basement apartment and the couple of windows there don't really have enough light to support my plants. Originally I was looking into either fluorescent tubes or CFL lights when I came across a website selling something called LED lights for plants. I really don't have much experience growing plants under artificial light so I was trying to research and find out what the best option for me is. One of the things that caught my attention about the LED lights is that they are customizable to meet the need of your plants. You can add extra blue and red spectrum to the lights in order to support vegetative growth.
I'm just wondering if anyone here has had success using these LED lights or should I not waste my time and money and just stick to simple florescent or CFL lights. This to the site I was looking at that sells the LEDs -------> http://www.growlight.cn/
Any information any of you have out there is greatly appreciated!
