Hallo from somewhere or possibly everywhere!

Normalish

Esteemed member
Just signed up. I've been on a Reddit site for a bit, enjoying the community there. I'm a musician and thought this forum might be a better place to post a few things I've been doing since I started taking DMT. Not sure what all else to say. I like cats and dogs and clubbin' and pubbin' and sport... (sorry, sad British dating app joke). I'm from California and living here again after years away. DMT has been amazing for me. It's helped with certain deep traumas and it's helped me deal with how screwed up our world is at the moment. But DMT has also simply been fun and fascinating. It's brought me into a state of increased empathy, but hasn't yet made a total hippie out of me!

Hi, welcome and thanks for choosing to join us! It's good to hear that using DMT has helped you in those ways, and I'm sure some of our other regular members as well as myself will look forward to hearing more of what you have to share. Judging by your intro, I think you'll fit in very well here.

Were the dating apps behind the reason you (presumably) left the UK to return to California? And what kind of music do you make?

For a smoother experience here, be sure to take a thorough look at our at our ground rules:

If there's anything specific you're aiming to find out, we've a good team of people who'll be happy to help point you in the right direction.

See you around!

Thanks for the welcome! I can confess that it wasn't actually a dating app... I was in London for gigs, staying with a friend. I was stuck in the apartment by day, watching loads of television. My fav was a dating show where indeed, the blokes would invariably mention they were into "pubbin', clubbin' and sport." Stuck with me! I did marry a California gal - many years after that London trip - and that's what brought me back.

I have a couple questions regarding the site/forum. Where is the questionnaire? And, I'd be happy to post links to my DMT-related music, but it's all under my real name. I see some of the artists on the Art page using their actual names... how should I move forward?

I'm looking forward to exploring the site, and I'll try to chime in from time to time. DMT has been very good to me and I'm excited to connect with others who are in that zone as well!

The questionnaire isn't currently in use. We moved to a new platform a couple of years ago and some parts of our documentation haven't been updated yet. Sometimes you'll find links, especially in older posts, which lead to the old forum. We're currently in the process of devising an automated method for finding and updating those links, as well as migrating the important parts of the wiki into our resources section.

Regarding the music, perhaps you could attach a few snippets to start with, and we'll deal with the question of your anonymity in due course. It's not something I would decide on autocratically as we have an active moderating and administrative team.

Regarding my music, the DMT-related stuff I've done has all been commercially released under my own name - not sure how to move on that front. I've done two pop albums inspired, in part, by DMT, but maybe more suited to the forum is an instrumental album I made with the DMT experience in mind. "Entity approved" is the sales pitch! There's a review of it up on a psych-friendly online publication. Maybe posting the review could be a sly way of getting the word out? Not that I mean to make my time on this forum all about self-promo, but I do think this particular release might be appealing to peeps here.

I'll keep exploring the site and get a feel for all the various things going on here. I think DMT has made me a little more sociable, so there's that!
