Hallucinogens and masturbation abstinence

wai

Rising Star
I am a male. I am currently practicing masturbation abstinence using the items in the image, and I am also practicing the Tao described in the book. Based on my past experience, I thought that LSD and DMT might be good for masturbation abstinence. Is there a connection between sexual energy and hallucinogens?
If there are any other items or hallucinogens that are good for masturbation abstinence, I would be grateful if you could tell me about them.

I can’t imagine that these strange misogynistic ideas from the manosphere really help anyone, let alone make any positive difference in tripping. Forcing yourself through this is just putting yourself up for failure and is not actually helping you. My advice is just masturbate this is healthy, not only mentally but also physically, it does not make you weak, and you don’t have to be worried about god judging you.

Then explore your sexuality while under the influence of psychedelics with or without a partner and just enjoy being human, especially LSD can be extremely special when you’re making love to someone you love. Belief me, being sex and merging physically and mentally in pure love with someone is about as special as it gets.

I concur that ejaculation drains psychic energy in males. Non ejaculatory sex or masturbation are rejuvenating on the other hand. Some people can dispute this if they want, but at least they can't dispute my own personal experience. Orgasm and ejaculation are distinct phenomena; there are plenty of resources out therefor those called to study sexuality.

Plants or substances labelled as hallucinogenic (classic psychedelics, deliriants, dissociatives) have all been stimulating to the sexual energy for me. By themselves they don't help with abstinence; to the contrary they encourage sexual activity. However if utilized in a conscious ritual that involves sublimating the life energy, they can put your life energy in order, and get you out of chaotic/addictive patterns.

Thank you for your response. I agree with you.

Ah what an interesting introduction, the self-contradiction in this post is on a whole other level. Im not going to pick this apart but maybe you can ask yourself the following questions, if you’re so enlightened why are your words so full of rage? and Why do you feel the need to introduce yourself as a “lifelong yogi” who was “initiated at 7” and is now “not young”?

Anyway before continuing on this ego trip you should read the attitude page it really helps you understand the values of this community.: Attitude Page - DMT-Nexus Wiki
Actually, there's no need to read anything. I've banned this person. I don't think we need this kind of purposeless aggression and vitriol on the forum, especially coming from a first-time poster.

In my experience, there is a connection between access to higher states of consciousness and semen retention. As I'm sure you noticed in those Taoism books, this is a concept that has been fleshed out since the beginning of spiritual teachings. Being non-wasteful with semen seems to be especially relevant when you start looking towards more advanced stages of development, such as those involving kundalini.

I suppose the use of psychedelics may help in the endeavor, but as someone else in the thread mentioned, they can cause an excitation of sexual energy themselves. So their use for this purpose can actually be counterproductive if you haven't mastered yourself, which I'm guessing may be the case if you're using a contraption like the one in the pic.

Orgasm def makes me feel super drained but I won’t knock it.

Conversely nothing is better than the state immediately following to get me into deeply spiritual outer body and lucid dream states. It’s fairly consistent.

Oh my. At least it's not cannabis consumers being the target this time...

YouTube's AI has harrased me for about 2 years trying to impose Andrew Huberman as a valid "life coach", though i consider it's simple enough not to require any such "guidance".

Basically this other war against individuals goes back to decades ago when substance experimentation got associated with « wankers »; so-called "studies" were even performed on rodents to serve as, aHummm... ...objective proof. But the thing about mice & rats is that although those animals are mammals too they happen to come with 5 pairs of tits and reproduce in record time.

M'well, what can i say! Today's young people have their sense of identity attacked from all sides, especially because of digital-age gurus.

I mourn for the rising generations unable to unplug, now currently carrying their new masters at all times in a pocket with the alarm on constantly, all too often their eyes glued to the blue screen as they walk... Like zombies!

Quite frankly it makes me thankful that Providence let us have a taste of the golden age before yet another great fall threatened again.

Good luck, with all my sympathy. 😔

I find this a bit judgy and condescending. Our modern culture has filled everyone with so much snark these days.

What's misogynistic about not having a wank? and what's a 'manosphere'? Did he edit something out of his post? Semen retention is a thing, it can have many positive physical and mental effects, you think that won't affect trips?

He did edit his post, anyway, the last couple of years the practice has regained some traction in certain groups of people who have very extreme ideas about women. Sure there has been decades where this very unhealthy practice was promoted by certain religious groups nowadays it is mostly done so by Nofap and other detrimental groups.

Anyway read more here or google the words: misogynistic manosphere masturbation abstinence

There’s a lot more to this than just fake health promises.

@Varallo I think a fair compromise would be if we could recognize that the concept of masturbation abstinence has been co-opted by the type of toxic mentality you're describing, while on the other hand, you recognize that the great esoteric teachers of the perennial philosophy were not all huge Andrew Tate fans lol. I would hope those of us on a forum like this have purer intentions. Looking at the OP for example, he was displaying books about Taoism, not books about pickup artistry or whatever.

Thanks for pointing this out, I wholeheartedly agree that this is true, I can’t exactly remember the exact original post so it’s difficult to say what triggered me initially to react this way. Now for anyone who I have offended with my comment please know I completely understand that the intention is absolutely leading here and I don’t judge anyone just because they practice their beliefs.

I feel like the benefits from semen retention and other such practices are really psychologically derived. That is, there's a reward one receives over time by delaying gratification that they come to appreciate more and more. Last I checked, there wasn't any hard evidence about the benefits (which doesn't negate the positive benefits people report: improved self-esteem, improved confidence, better focus etc). Even with respect to testosterone levels (which is another man-o-sphere agenda), there's pretty much little to no benefit. Levels spike around day 5, and then subsequently taper off back to the baseline level and never really spike again (from what I remember).
Abstinence for a while can have benefits. However, regular ejaculation has been shown to reduce the chances for prostate cancer.
So, perhaps find a balance. Balance in all things.
Everything in moderation. Including moderation.

One love

I mean, sure, if you have a five-a-day habit going on, maybe takes some abstinence.

Otherwise, I'd say masturbate when you feel like it. Even in a healthy sexual relationship there is a place for self service

I want to chip in and share my two cents... thinking that semen retention does indeed work, and to take it one step further, any form of masturbation with sort of raise your 'yang' or masculine energy and without the balancing yin touch of a female eventually this hot 'yang' energy will need a way out and this will happen generally through ejaculation, if not through masturbation but in the form of a nocturnal emission. Perhaps the benefits are 'purely psychological' but if anyone wants to dive into this rabbit hole I recommend looking into Mantak Chia and particularly "Taoist Secrets of Love: Cultivating Male Sexual Energy" where he delves into this topic in great detail. He claims that rebuilding semen takes like 30% or so of a males caloric/nutritional intake and if taxed too heavily (i.e. ejaculating too frequently) it taxes the glandular system including the brain. Also he likens this to a bank account where one is given lets say one million dollars and when one is young it's possible to 'spend as much as one likes' because there is so much in the bank but as life goes on this "bank account" becomes more depleted and with less 'savings' left one is prone to noticing the effects more.

Speaking from my own experience retention is a total 'game changer' although the longer one does it it gets more and more difficult to 'keep it in' because you... kinda get more and more horny. Not to mention the 'wet dream' thing is quite hard to avoid too, unless one starts to practice the exercises Mantak details in the book.

Related to hallucinogens, I find they also make me quite... sensual and horny so I'm not sure how good it works for absinence lol. But the more one plays with themselves, i find the more one wants to play with themselves. Also it seems like we're all taught in school (at least I was) it's a healthy and normal thing to do but Mantak like I've said doesn't recommend it. And from my own experience, I'd say he is onto something.

I was a masturbating (and ejaculating) machine from my teens to my late twenties. Porn became a monster addiction for some time, serving to make me escape from my unhappy life, among other things. Not much self aware compared to myself now at forty one, I still noticed that my mind was not as sharp as before but I didn't know why. I got introduced to tantra through translating a book and the concept of orgasm being distinct from ejaculation and the importance of semen retention were then introduced to me. It was the first years of my "plant medicine" (local rue + admixtures) phase (a pretty permanent phase 😉) and I was having the calling to make my life as sacred as possible. I manifested a long term relationship and in time trained myself to not ejaculate during sex or masturbation. It's not 100 percent successful and that's how it is meant to be anyways, the occasional ejaculation serving to balance the energy. I am a "neurodivergent" and my experience often does not resonate with others. For example I also discovered that I need to ground myself on the earth at least twice a day to function properly and feel healthy. Also, with every ejaculation, without exception, the next day I feel mentally/energetically disempowered and it takes at least 2 days (without ejaculation) to feel mentally/energetically sufficient again. I've been observing myself all these years with every experience... I also noticed that even though a certain loss happens with every ejaculation, when it happens during a sacred lovemaking with a sacred partner, there is also something gained which offsets the state of depletion.

As mentioned above, Mantak Chia refers to a reservoire that is plentiful in youth but gets depleted with age and the older you are the more care it needs to be cultivated. Perhaps it's not exactly about vitamins or minerals or testosterone. It's about life energy, which at this point is not measured by science, but one day it will be, mark my words 😁

BTW it's amazing how psychological training can shape us. Just over the last year it seems I have improved my control over ejaculation so much, being able to swim in pleasure, going high and down again endlessly without difficulty containing an ejaculation. This is after about a decade of practicing semen retention. I have had no sleep ejaculations either, the last time must be in my twenties. The body does what the body is trained to do...

And about ejaculation and psychedelic experiences... If I do a high dose ruehuasca or ayahuasca the day or the day after ejaculating, I am destroyed under it's power with not much awareness of the experience. With proper retention prior, it's worlds apart. If this is not your experience as well, alright, but we must be from different planets.
