Happy 235th

Migrated topic.
Happy Birthday, United States Marine Corps.
May the bullets of the enemy hostiles spontaneously turn to flowers.

A good friend of mine is about to go off to basic training.
I'm not sure what his motivation is.
But
I wish him luck.

Humans are still human no matter what they decide to do in life. To be angry or confused by their choices is no reason to stop loving them as a fellow living being.

Good luck to all those in service now; we hope you return home soon.

Happy b-day USMC.

More ho'oponopono... Like it, Steely. Thank you. :)

Just wanted to thank those who gave a warm response to this OP. Having spent 16 years of my life in the Corps it obviously has been a major part of my life.

You dont have to love war to love the beautiful people that are Marines.

I know and understand that it is difficult for some on the Nexus to wish a happy "anything" to a warfighting organization, I'm kool with that. I dont like whats going on in the world today with all the fighting and killing.

Out of respect for those who dont care for the US Military and whats going on in the world I will spare you a new post and say here a big THANK YOU to our Veterans on this 11 November, 2010. Veterans Day. It's sometimes difficult to fathom their sacrifices and the reason for the sacrifices. Let me just say that being a Veteran and the reason I am a Veteran has everything to do with Freedom and wanting to protect the rights and freedoms of people around the globe. If I sound like a brainwashed fool, well so be it. My intentions are pure.

We are a cross section of society.

Anyway, Thanks.

Thanks Veterans! Your sacrifice does not go unnoticed. I hope all the soldiers all over the world will one day return to their friends and families. Although we can never understand what you've been through, our love is with you.

My ex was in the Marines. I've really never met a better man. He'll move mountains just due to his sheer willingness to do honest work. So grateful for his presence in my life, even if was briefer than I would prefer. I'm spending some time with him later, always make me happy. I'll love him for a long time.

He always wears his USMC hat, and has a little USMC tattoo on his back, and a civilian version of the military haircut. So cute.

I pray that the suffering of war passes the veterans and families by, not affecting them at all.

I also have a good friend going to the corps, as well as friends in the army and navy. I love them all. Just because I would never personally join the military doesn't mean I disrespect those that do. It takes a great amount of strength and willpower to go into any branch of the military and those that do deserve nothing but respect and support. Happy B-day USMC!

i feel as if i should have been a soldier... or should be a soldier. I feel like thats a very unique experience. I

envy them in a way, but at the same time i feel for thier pain and thank the soldiers for the service they have

given. I still feel like they understand something more then i do.

Ive simply become a soldier of consiousness, and of the franchise wars. lol
