I'm smoking one on one Chanaga with Harmala Alks, DMT & leaf/Herb.
Something is effecting my mouth and gums after a smoke.
I'm smoking it in a joint form. 150mg per joint.
At first I thought I had some kind of gum desiese . I was planning a trip to the dentist but yesterday I figured out it was the Changa .
I took about 4 days off smoking Changa and my mouth was fine.
I just blasted 4 big pulls on a joint and straight away felt a rough feeling inside my mouth.
I doubt its the DMT . Do you think 50mg Harmala Alks per joint could be too much and there for giving me a sore mouth?
Cheers

How certain are you that each of your alks is clean? What methods did u use for each, did you re-x the dmt at least once? How many a/b or saltings did you do on the harmalas?

Have you tried the herb blend by Itself, without the dmt-enhancement? Wonder if you have a particular herb in there doing it? What's the leaf mix?

IMO 25 mg of harmalas is more than enough for potentiating spice.

Did you actually use freebase harmala alkaloids? Make sure you wash out any remaining soda remains and press between paper towels to dry.

Have you experimented with dmt-only joints and harmala-only joints? If you smoke harmala first, it will thereafter still potentiate the dmt joint.

Shadow, Pitubo many thanks for the replies .
Pitubo are you saying 25mg of Harmala per 50mg of spice is enough?
I'm sure the Harmala is clean. I followed the TAO of RUE guide and this was my third Rue Alkaloid extraction.
I did the salting and soda part 3 times each.
This batch of Harmala was cleaner than my previous attempts , although the previous Harmala extractions went into 2.1 Changa and I never had any ill effects from it.
This is why im thinking too much Harmala is rough on the mouth.
I've made batches of 1.1.1 Changa with, Salvia/Chiliponga/Calea/Damiana/Lotus/Pasion flower incarnate ,I don't mix the herbs, they are all slightly rough on the roof of the mouth and the wisdom tooth area of the gums, so I don't think its the herbs.
How do you wash out the remaining soda crystals? Just rinse with water ?
I do clean my DMT , so I end up with crystal like flowers.

25 mg is more than enough to potentiate your brain. It is independent of the amount of spice.

Ice cold distilled water, but not too much, as it will dissolve a slight amount of harmala alkaloids. If you have clean ammonia (non-soapy) that is even better, as the ammonia remains will evaporate without leaving a trace.

Another thing that might make your changa harsh, is when the solvent used is wet with water and drying to the air takes too long. I suspect that wet freebase harmalas easily absorb CO2 from the air, turning into carbonate salts that are harder to evaporate.

Thanks for the info..
I will get a hold of some clear Ammonia and wash my Harmala Alks.
My Changa dosnt get wet with water , just 99% alcohol and then under a fan for a quick evaporation.
I had a feeling I was using too much Harmala , my Changa is caked in it:roll:
Thanks again

Did you check if your 99% alcohol doesn't contain any denaturants, like eg. Bitrex (denatonium benzoate)?

As a precaution, I distill solvents before use.

I think I figured it out .
Its just the fact that all my new Changas are 1.1.1
So each joint having 150mg or some times 200mg of Changa equates to a lot of Harmala .
All my previous Changas , being 2.1.1 never gave me a sore mouth and yet all the ingredients are the same.
So being a non smoker , that much Harmala is a bit much and since I've made so much new Changa , im testing it like crazy (poor me).
Plus some of the herbs are harsh, Salvia for one.
I'm currently making Lions Tail Changa, yay.
This weekend ill be doing another Harmala Alk extraction and ill wash it with cold distilled water.
I have some Ammonia but my Alks wil be wet with water and im guessing to do a ammonia wash youd need the Harmala to be dry.
Thanks for your help..
All the best
