harmine hcl tek

Hello people,

I'm doing this tek more or less:
harmine crystals from syrian rue


Why does it say this?:

[EDIT: Do step 6 at your own risk. dissolving harmalas in different types of alcohol and acetone seem to create a different reddish and gooey product that is sometimes called Harmala Red, and it is possibly inactive, though there is little info on what it is exactly and if its really inactive, its toxicological safety, etc)

I thought I would store my harmine hcl dissolved in ethanol for easy oral dosing, but I don't want to make it inactive.

Would it be better to store it in 50/50 ethanol/water?

I would store it dissolved in spring water, but without alcohol it might get rancid or moldy. (or ferment and contain tyramine)

Or would it be good to dissolve it in vineger and store it like that? Vinegar doesn't go rancid or moldy right?

I just want a harmine solution thats ready for fast easy dosing.

What do you all suggest?

why store it in solvent?

i can understand needing to dissolve it all in a solution in order to get it all in a container.. but why can't the solvent be evap'd once it is stored?

Because I want to make a tincture of harmine hcl (not 'harmala red') with a dose being ~3-10mL which can be messured with a graduated cilynder and added to a smoothie or orange juice or something.

why does it have to be dosed in ml over mg?
can you not add powder to juice?

I don't have a mg scale.
My scale has incraments of 5 grams.

A dose of harmine powder is like 0.2mL.

alright, carry on then (but i will say a scale is well worth the investment).

as for what solution to use, i have no real experience with this kind of thing except for storing psilocybin in honey, so i am not really of much help.
