I got some of these recently and have no clue where to start. I have read so many ways to consume them, and I don't know which one is easier. I have never made a brew or anything like that. I've consumed mescaline HCL in the past, but all I did was put it in some capsules.

I've been researching ways to consume them like brewing a tea, grinding them up in a smoothie, alcohol extraction. Some have said the alcohol extraction is easier, but after reading some of the tutorials it seems confusing to me, as I am no chemistry expert.

As I am an absolute noob when it comes to extractions like this, what would you recommend me do? What was the first way you all consumed peruvian torch or san pedro? I'm starting to think straight up eating them with some grapefruit or orange juice is my best bet, since I really don't want to waste it.

How much chips have you got?

When I have a small quantity that doesn't seem worth extracting or just want to test a batch for potency I use the tea -> resin method a la house:

Generally ends up with a brown hardish goo around 1/2 the weight of the original material and is relatively easy to consume.

I can never manage to drink cactus tea as the gooey consistency and bitterness is unbearable. This way you're consuming the same material sans the water which lets face it... holy as it is, it don't getcha high :)

I got around 75g.

That resin tek said dried powder yield a gunky product. Would a tea work for dried chips?

I have only ever worked with dried chips. Remember the only difference between fresh and dried is the absence of water.

The finished product if evaporated properly is like a hard but pliable taffy-like consistency.

Slow boil it for a couple hours with some lime juice. Filter out as much of the solids and goo as possible. Boil this down to a drinkable portion. Filter again if you want. Let it cool and drink. It's going to be nasty, but don't be tempted to sweeten it as this just makes it more vile. You can add some hibiscus flowers or other flavors but nothing with sugar. I prefer nothing but San Pedro and lime.
