Wow 9lbs, thats impressive!

I'm supremely jealous of the climate you live in my friend, its nothing but snow and rain here for the next 4-5 months. Look forward to seeing your progress!

I LOVE Sativas. Good luck with the new grow. Would love to see a pic of the plant that gave you 9 pounds of dried material, she must have been something to see before harvest. Do you do anything with the trim to extract any goodies or just compost it?

Lovely babys . I'm interested to see how they grow . Please keep posting pictures . The hight , harvest and the length of the flowering period interest me to . And 9 pounds = well done .

Some info ( If anyone sees that its not right please say so . For me its not about me being right its about collecting knowledge and spreading it ) ---- >

They are not pure sativas they have indica in them .

Its an urban legend that sativas make you high and indicas are more physical . Its a generalisation that wasnt always true .

If those plants have real haze in them its only a very small percent . From what i renmeber haze was a family with at least three sorts . It came from the states and was a very unstable mix of grass from south of the border . BUT the things that made it came from before the genepool masacre in the 80 and 90s so they were pure / relatively pure lines .

Haze was a very long plant that took twelve weeks to flower . The buds were realy small and it was said that only one plant from a hundred was realy strong .

Because it was / is the strongest people took it and threw it at other plants thereby " diluting " its genes even more . Other people started selling things with names like Pure haze and original haze but they were all not real haze . They were at best crosses. ( There is a difference between crossing things and breeding things ) .

Haze wasnt a stabilised line and it didnt pass its genes on reliably . That means that the crosses never came near the real strength potential of haze .

I have been looking for clean strains since they were lost in the 80s and 90s but cant find any anymore . If anyone can sugest pure strains i would be VERY gratefull .

The cleanest Sativa I've had was Kali Mist. Super potent and felt like a cup of coffee. Made me want to work, work, work. Outdoor greenhouse grow with 8 foot ceiling and the plant was chopped once in half and it still grow so high that it had to be bent over another 5-6 feet after it grew into the ceiling. The honey oil from this plant was divine.

Looking good so far. Do the aboriginals have a history of cannabis use? Have always been curious of that. Good luck with the grow. You are fighting much more heat than any of the grows I have ever heard of.

" Do the aboriginals have a history of cannabis use? "

No .

My opinion ---- >

From what i have read they didnt use any drugs to get high on . There is speculation about Pituri ---- >

" Duboisia hopwoodii is an Australian shrub that contains nicotine, nornicotine, and sometimes hyoscyamine in its leaves. The plant's roots contain all of these alkaloids, plus scopolamine. A preparation of the leaves and stems called pituri appears to have had a long history of use in traditional Aboriginal society."

" Apears " ? When ? Where ? How often ? In what doses ? Remembering that they didnt write books and that their history was passed down from mouth to mouth ...... and in paintings ? = Its speculation .

@ Spiritofspice

Thanks for the very interesting and detailed reply ...... and the fotos . When i talk about clean strains i mean for example the clean seeds and sorts that were available in the 70s and very early 80s in holland , the US and the unUK ........ and pure strains that have been grown by home growers that havent been poluted with dutch / US / canadian " strains " from the gene pool masacre that started in the early 80s when people just threw strains together to produce the sea of sameness that we are faced with nowadays .

I understand what you said about hermaphrodites but i dont agree . Hermafrodite cannabis strains used to be rare . Then in the early 80s came sorts that were claimed to be thai sorts that were said to have the tendancy to grow as hermaphrodites . I think that crossing them / breeding them into other strains introduced it to those newer plants . It was speculated that the reason for them becomeing hermaphrodites was because cannabis doesnt come from that part of the world and that it was the day length that caused them to grow flowers of different sexes .

@ Thread

I understand that for some people that might come over as being a bit strange but its true . To breed good plants one needs stabilised clean strains . Then one trys to replicate atributes . Thats hard because most of the commercialy sold " strains " nowadays havent been bred ...... they are crosses . That means people buy two sorts and cross them and then anounce them to be different strains . Clean strains breed " true " .
