hi ive become more aware over time of negative energies and spirits, and cant help but see my dog in need of spiritual healing. He is never really relaxed and always out to fight other dogs and i just sense much anger n aggression in him, like his ego needs some healing. If ayauasca cures these symptoms in humans than what about dogs? thinking myb to spike his food with some caapi or something, what u guys think?

You have become more aware of "negative" energies and "spirits." Your dog most likely hasn't come to the same conclusion. To take these epiphanies most likely learned through the use of psychedelic drugs so seriously to the point where you contemplate administering them to an animal that you are ultimately responsible for is quite reckless. Ayahuasca isn't going to cure your dog's canine behavior. He's a dog.

Just as it would be uncool to administer drugs to unknowing or unwilling people, it is not okay to give drugs to pets. At least in my world, it isn't.

I think when you're dog has shown enough knowledge and desire to try ayahuasca and understand what he is doing, then would be a good time.

Plus, if I was a dog doing simple dog things and suddenly my dog mind started rewiring and fucking itself for no reason and I get really confused with everything, it probably wouldn't be healing in any way. I'd just learn to never touch that certain food again.

yeh u guys right bad idea :P, just care so much about him and want him to b at peace, guess some things best to just leave as is

As Trav wisely put it: WISE.

I think for me the rule is this:

If a person (or any being if you like) is incapable of extracting DMT (or describing the process) they should not vaporize it or have it vaped for them; likewise with ayahuasca, if they are incapable of brewing it themselves or describing the process (whether too young or through absence of opposable digits or access to language:wink: ), they should not be imbibing.

I just don't see the dog being able to benefit from it. Just imagine being in the dog's perspective, you can't communicate to the dog that you're going to give him Ayahuasca, so if you were to give it to him, it would be a complete surprise to him.

It can be compared to Project MKULTRA from the CIA where they administered doses of LSD (among other drugs) to people without their consent, and usually without their knowledge, just to see what happened. Would you want to be the dog, suddenly feeling the effects of the ayahuasca without knowing what is going on or why it's happening? To me that would cause the dog to freak out and more than likely not be of any benefit.

My thoughts exactly. I really can't see any situation where it is acceptable to give psychoactives to your pets. I'd personally view that as animal cruelty and a violation, just the same as it is a violation to spike a persons drink.

Is your dog a pup? If so then it needs training, not drugs, to get it's aggression under control. Is it very old and has just recently started showing these symptoms? It's possibly going a bit senile. If it is neither young nor old and has just randomly started behaving aggressively then I'm not sure what you should do... call the dog whisperer perhaps

Giving a psychedelic dose to anyone, much less an animal that you have no idea how the psychedelic will effect, without their consent is not ok. Could you imagine the terror you would experience if you randomly started tripping with no prior experience with psychedelics and no idea why that was happening?

Instead of trying to cure your dog with psychedelics, I think you are better off spending more time with him, and you should look into trying to train him better. If you watch the dog whisperer, he talks about how untrained dogs think they are the head of the pack, which causes them a lot of stress. It is their job to protect you and the household, and this is why they are always barking at people who walk by their yard, start fights with other dogs etc. A well trained dog knows its not in charge, and can relax and enjoy life.

I dont know if thats actually true, but my experience with friends and family members who have dogs seems to indicate there is truth to it. The less trained, more wild dogs seem to be more stressed out than those that are well trained. So maybe invest some serious time and effort into training your dog. Just dont give him a dose of any mind altering substances please.

I agree. Get him trained ASAP!
He will behave and you both will get along and enjoy eachother much better.
Dogs should not bark all of he time when people pass by, plus they should only fight when they or their master is in danger.

Trained dogs behave. So you see the signs. That is an untrained dog you have. Do him and you a favor and get him a pro trainer!

Good luck!

I hadn't heard this before. Interesting theory.
