Hello all

Hi there @Fatlittlekoala, welcome to the Nexus!

Where you start depends on your interests, but the FAQ sub forum is extremely helpful! The stickied posts contain information on extraction safety and techniques, as well as all of the basics you should know before embarking on a spice adventure. Another wonderful resource is The Essential DMT Guide. You will find the answer to almost any question regarding spice in that guide 😁

What exactly are you looking for?

Welcome, glad to have you. Another good starting point to check out for a smooth sailing around here is the Attitude Page

Beyond that, once you've gone through the aforementioned FAQ subforum and guide, you can browse the almighty Wiki where you'll find a treasure trove of information.

Naturally, we're available to answer questions here and in the chat, should you have any.

Enjoy! (y)

Welcome to the Nexus. Are you new to tripping or new to DMT.

Do you have any tripping experience? If not DMT may not be a great starting point other than very low doses. Frequently when folks come in bereft of any psychedelic experience, I see Nexians recommend trying mushrooms, starting at low doses. This is because there is literally a DMT molecule within psilocybin and being structurally similar they have some similar experience characteristics.

If you have psychedelic experience and are ready to take it to the next level I would inquire about whether or not along the way you have developed rather strong and advanced skills around letting go and surrender? These are KEY to the DMT experience going well.

Previous posts gave you great starts. I would also re-iterate that the WIKI is a great place because that's where the extraction TEK's (recipes) to empower you to extract (make) your own in the safety of your own home.

Here is the link again Extraction TEKs

Again a very warm welcome to you.

i am new to DMT. I have a little experience with mushrooms, but most of my experience is with LSD. I suppose I should’ve clarified that I don’t know anything about chemistry besides a few basic things.I am excited to learn, I saw this forum mentioned in a FB group and joined immediately😅

@Fatlittlekoala happy to hear you've got a little experience under your belt. Take @Pandora 's words to heart for certain - make sure you are certain and ready when it comes time to embark on your first spice adventure. Take your time and make sure you read the resources thoroughly and more than once - know your chosen tek, the basic principles behind it, and your safety measures in and out before you begin an extraction. DMT can be a wonderful life-long companion for inner and spiritual growth when treated with respect.

What made you particularly interested in DMT?

Just thought I should mention that your pfp was my profile picture on everything for a while. Love that cow.

But for some actual help, if you're looking for trip reports, Vivec on Youtube narrates some awe-inspiring DMT ones. Josie Kins is also a great DMT youtube channel to get you familiar with what the experience is like.

If you're interested in the science, I'd suggest reading, watching, or listening to the work of Andrew Gallimore. He explains the science of DMT very simply and in such a fascinating way. His passion is contagious.

In terms of stuff to watch - Hamilton's Pharmacopeia, DMT: The Spirit Molecule, How To Change Your Mind, etc. are all great.

Mandatory Terrence McKenna mention - huge pioneer for DMT, his lectures are very interesting.

If you don't know where to start, Youtube is your friend. Absolute treasure trove of information, from extractions, to trip reports, to replications, to culture, and all very accessible. Of course, the Nexus has everything you'd ever need as well, but that's a given.
