Hey new member here well basically to sum it up I'm a 21 year old male living in California. I've been into psychedelics since around 2011 when I was a teen and have learned a lot as well as gained a lot from them over the years. I actually haven't tripped at all on any major psychedelic since the summer of 2014 (on LSD) but I am still always interested in them and willing to discuss them with other likeminded individuals.
Well I've never taken actual DMT but lately I've been getting this feeling I can't explain and have for some reason felt like researching it more. I've known a lot about it since about 2012 and knew that it was the granddaddy of psychedelics and opens you up to a world so incomprehensible that it only gives the user many more questions than answers. I've known all this since 2012 because amazing mushroom trips had made me do all this research but it hasn't been until recently that I've felt this kind of "pulling".
I feel like the molecule is in some way calling me so I plan to do it very soon within a few months. My girlfriend who has never tried a psychedelic also wants to try DMT soon around when I do it but I'll have to see about that after I try it lol.
I saw this video of this girl who had never taken a psychedelic before who explains who first DMT breakthrough and the way she was so stunned and blown away by it really made me want to try it (even though I already knew it was amazing) just the way she explained it I don't know it was like it could relate to my mushroom trips in certain deep and fundamental ways. It sounded very tryptamine like and vast and she explained ego death perfectly and reminded me of my first ego death. She was basically explaining how she felt "dead" and she didn't have a sense of self and had no ability to have thoughts but she was 'aware' so she basically just became a single point of awareness and she also talked about that great "coming home" feeling that I've gotten with mushrooms which is in a way almost like an orally active version of DMT or an alteration of DMT.
From what it seems DMT and mushrooms are sort of like two different paintings but by the same artist.
Anyways I saw that girl replying to people in the comments of the video and she mentioned Nexus and how "all this was new to her" so I figured part of the reason i should come here is so I'm not all so new to it and I suppose I want to join the community and make a profile and share some insights before I blast off and after I blast off I will most definitely stay
