Theoretical question, how much DMT can be obtained from 1kg of mimosa hostils. First time I made a extraction With 250g of mimosa I got about 1.5g. That's my guess because I haven't weighed it but realistically it could have been 1g. I did it using n-heptane. Shredded it and Gave solution with 12-14ph using hydroxide. I want to try the second method using vinegar. Any advice for a newbie?

You can't guess about weight when you're measuring milligrams. 2% yield is commonly achievable, but 1-1.5% yield is probably around the average. There are a number of good TEKs posted here that will help you advance. Cyb's is a popular one that has worked well for me.

Spreading of the message of psychedelics itself through superficial YouTube videos showing use or extractions can also cause a lot of damage to the community (as happened with salvia) and is frowned upon.

if you're extracting from the same source material it may be spent. might be time to break out a new batch of source material. if you're trying a different container of N-heptane it might be advisable to do an evaporation test to make sure that you're not seeing the effects of some addative, allthough this is less likely the case because even then you should be seeing SOMETHING come out. at the moment you're asking in the introductions sub forum which means you're much less likely to get any real attention from someone who's used n heptane in this fashion than somewhere else on the forum like :

Be safe, use your best judgements, keep your ppe on, and always remember to have emergency remediation protocols in place in case of an accident.
it only took me spilling sodium hydroxide solution on myself and all over the floor once before I realized how important those last 2 parts were.
