Hey guys,
19 year old student here, on an over ambitious journey to enlightenment, have been for a coupla years now, made 0 progress but still doing it. ive always been interested in experimenting with hallucinogens and experiencing altered realitys. Ive taken LSD, DMT, 2-CB, 2C-I, 25i nBome(regrettingly), ketamine(had some very interesting experiences with K).

Ok, so ive been trying to get my mitts on dmt for a long time and finally got some there about a month ago.

me and about 6 other friends decided to do it in my friends house at 4 AM, didnt breakthrough , got some crazy visuals though, the whole room filled up with massive legs in a flash.

the next day i loaded a 50 mg hit, it was amazing, i think i broke through, cant remember anything other than these large open organically shaped rooms that were dancing to the frequencies of the song my friend was playing in the background, saw some buildings build themselves, thats about all i can remember. it was fantastic.

ive tried a few more times since and all my other trips have been terrible, every single time i close my eyes theres this box with red and black stripes, i get an instant feeling of regret and want to get out for some reason, extreme resistance arises and i panic, this usually ends with me trippin the fuck out with my eyes open just waiting for it to end. not enjoying it whatsoever. its like i forget why im doing it what im doing, now everytime ive gone to go for a breakthrough i get the exact same thing, like literally the exact same, a feeling of regretful deja vu, like why on earth did i do this? why do i keep doing this when this happens? and it feels like im living all the other times it happend at the same time if that makes any sense. like im spread out across time. its really scary and disconcerting.

anyone have any advice for having a better trip?

Have you been integrating your experiences before going back in? Maybe you have missed something & need to figure it out before moving on.

DMT is not always a pleasant experience & may have some very difficult moments or entire trips but they tend to be rewarding still if you are able to learn from them & integrate.

Food for thought.
What was it about the re-occuring experience that scared you? What exactly is making you feel so uncomfortable & want to abort mission? Did you set intention before-hand & commit to it or just go in on a whim? Are there stressors in your life influencing your trip?

These are not questions you have answer here. Just a few starting points for the integration process.

Welcome to the nexus! Thank you for sharing your story,

Take a break and get to know yourself better. Your mind has expectations and the molecule can be a very uncooperative party to your "tripping" mindset when these expectations exist IME.

One idea is to have an intention set for each launch attempt. What do you want to accomplish or learn? Balance your energies and calm your mind, focused on your intention. If you are fully comfortable and at peace with the intention then complete your launch attempt.

I think concombres and SinysterKyd hit it on the head pretty well. DMT tends to be self regulating, and by that I mean it will shatter any preconceived expectations or notions of what should or could happen, which can be unnerving to say the least. The thing I struggle with the most (but am getting progressively better with each journey) is letting go completely and learning to correctly engage the molecule with a proper set and setting.

That sense of fear/unease may linger for some time but the best way to overcome it is to face it head on. A mini meditation session may prove useful, it has for me anyway. While meditating, breathing deep and steady is a great tool to help calm the nerves before blasting off.

Your mindset plays a very important role in how a DMT experience will play out also. For a while I was not respecting this process and DMT slapped me more than a handful of times before I started to get the message. Of course, keep in mind that this is all subjective and personally related to me and my experiences so none of this may apply to you.

Welcome to the Nexus, btw!

Its not impossible for a human being to have a 3+ hit experience with out having smoked any dmt at all. Through a kinda meditative state , though it may be hit and miss it does happen from time to time. that being said just REMEMBER its a natural experience. Welcome and good luck!
