Well in the oh so helpful welcome message sent to me by The Traveler, it was recommended to post an introductory essay about myself, so here I go:grin:

Well I am a third generation farmer living in somewhere in the mountains of the U.S. I have always been interested in expanding my mind, and have found this site an amazing resource in my journey. I've creeped here for quite a while, and decided that I really wanted to become part of this awesome community i have lost of questions and such, but I think id best save that for later posts.

Hey Sykosis, thanks for the warm welcome! well as far as my psychedelic experience goes, I used to be a very, very pessimistic person, who was angry at the government, and society, and at the grass for being green. But then one fateful day at a bluegrass music festival, my whole life changed. I was with one of my long time friends, lets call him A. we met up with some other friends who i didn't know as well, lets call them B and C, and C had a whole cigarette pack full of acid tabs. now iv always been creative and wanted to try psychedelics, and at the time I smoked weed 24/7. we dropped 2 hits each at around 7:00 pm and I was peaking at the end of the music festival... lol I wandered into the middle of the field where allot of people were doing this crazy Mexican dance and I just sat down in the middle of it and let life happen to me for a while, feeling people brush past me. ever since then Iv had a more positive outlook on life, and I am now seeking further expansion of my consciousness through dmt. I think it can be a great tool in exploring my mind, and i am going to purchase MHRB here in the next few days and use a STB tek with freezer percip. I'm excited to see how it turns out and I think growing crystals can easily become a hobby of mine.

Oh I also ate about 8 grams of mushrooms, as it was my first time and I didn't know dosage. I wont go into the crazy shit that happened but it was definitely intense. Didn't scare me away from mushrooms but I think it gave me an appreciation for their power. I've taken mushrooms on several occasions after that.

I've 0 experience with psychedelics but was always a curious person about them. I'm growing my own cacti in order to try the 'entheogenic' experience and have run into some problems like black spots on a thricocereus pachanoi which seems to be propagating and need help, for what I'm reading in the forum there seems to be a wealth of useful information in this forum so I think I'll stick around and also share my experiences with others.

Sounds like you've come to the right place Hermit. You'll find DMT offers little in the way of answers, and more in the way of insight. The first few steps can be intense for even the most experienced person but entering with an open mind to whatever happens is the best way, accept your fate don't fight it. You will find plenty of information on growing crystals, I enjoy it myself. Which extraction tek are you thinking of using?


Zeric I'm not very experienced in the growing of cacti perhaps someone else can help you with that. As for your lack of psychedelic experience, I'd just suggest you trend slowly, dip your toes in the water and see if you like it. You can always do more but can't take back what's already done, Stay safe. Do you have any interest in trying DMT?

the tek I'm planning on using is a combo of a few different teks iv read about, its a basic STB with freezer percip,iv heard it called Normans tek before, but i plan on combing other methods like super saturation and such, just because i take great joy in doing these kinds of things.

I use Noman's tek myself. My advice would be heat your Naphtha in a hot water bath before you mix it in, then pour it in and gently mix well. Place the whole mix in a hot water bath to separate, collect the naphtha. Evaporate down to half it's volume, then freeze. You won't be disappointed. Always be sure to check the MSDS sheets of all chemicals you intend to use, and perform an evap test on your solvent(naphtha). Any you are unsure of maybe a fellow Nexian call help guide you. Awesome thanks for the great advice! it looks like I'm going to have to use canary grass though, due to certain restrictions on MHRB. but the tek looks a lot more difficult

I have faith you can find some MHRB, it might take a little bit but it's still available out their. If you truly can't find MHRB then I'd suggest getting some Acacia which might be easier to find and doing LexTek instead. Phalaris grasses have the potential of containing an unknown amount of Gramine which is toxic, and can leech into your final product. Acacia give a more enjoyable final product as well, in my opinion. Whatever you decide, do your research first.

sheep staggers is of no concern to you, as long as you extract the phalaris, rather than eat mass quantities of the stuff (Even then it is unlikely you would eat enough).

to clarify on the staggers finding..this means the responsible toxin will not make it to an non-polar extraction, and, in the amounts consumed in an 'huasca' type brew would not be enough to harm humans..animals graze vast amounts..

you can use the same exact tek on phalaris as you would on mimosa.

alkaloid extractions are alkaloid extractions.

the only concern re: phalaris is what are the alkaloids contained in your extract?
but if you have no qualms ingesting 2MTHBC, 5-MeO-NMT, 6MeO2MeTHBC, 5-MeO-DMT and possibly other alkaloids, then you are good to go.

the real development that needs to happen is we need to start breeding strains to get a better understanding of chemotypes.

there are already strains available with a pretty clean alkaloid profile.

so really the only issue is with wild phalaris.

self-grown phalaris is HIGHLY recommended

great idea, in the coming weeks if my cat finds himself with MRHB then he'll definitely do that. He really looks forward to collaborating and sharing results with fellow enthusiasts

do as you wish, but there is no methodological difference between mhrb and phalaris extractions.
