I really dont think I shredded the bark enough and I have already added the lye , if I leave the bark in the lye for about a day or two will it compensate for not shredding enough ?

There's really no "need" for shredding the bark, although it will greatly accelerate the process of breaking it down. Whenever I can't get my filthy hands on some pre-pulverized bark I just throw them in whole and let them sit for an extended period of time, usually 2-3 days at least.

I would leave for more than a day or two.. Maybe a week or two... You might get lower yields, just dont throw your bark solution away till you have your final yield and are satisfied with it.

ok iv already done 4 pulls and there in the fridge , im going to leave the jar with bark/lye solution in the cupboard with a bit of naptha for 4 days then do another 4 pulls , the yield should be ok then , the bark was shredded but I couldnt get it to powder because i added a bit of water to prevent the dust that goes everywhere , I adivse against anybody doing that
