They tried to do this is canada already as well but I dont think it went through...though I hear they are still trying...the pricks.

If they do..guess thats another harmless and illegal thing I will be involved in:cry:..all the while the police and governments here continue to kill innocent people and make all the affordable housing dissapear...

Keep in mind it completely legal here to sell mathadone to heroin addicts, and soon maybe even crack at proposed "safe crack houses"..as long as the government gets to be the one selling and making all the blood $$ at the expense of others..once again..

First we have to go to the government to buy tobacco, liquer, opiates..now even herbs..what's next?? God I hope it's not cannabis..

Sad, sad world it is:cry: ..

This situation is not so simple. Many herbal remedies are ineffective because they contain no active compounds because they have no requirement to do so. They have no requirement to do any sort of quality control. There have been a number of cases of deaths associated with traditional medicine just this year. I don't know the stats but it happens many times it has to do with adulterants or just idiots who claim to be traditional healers who are also at times idiots.

So to those who use herbal medicine do you want any sort of requirement by those who sell herbal medicine much of which could be contaminated with pesticides, fungi, adulterants, and or contain dangerous levels of certain compounds? The food industry has to meet these requirement why shouldn't the herbal medicine industry? Especially in countries where health care is a shared cost. Why should completely ineffective medicines be paid by others for when there are clinically proven medicines that work and are also safe? Shouldn't the herbal industry also undergo effectiveness testing? There are tons of herbal remedies that fail clinical trials because either they are ineffective or the plant material has had no quality control requirements and was inactive.

Be wary of what some of what these online herbal remedies websites promote they often make claims and hype up fear.
