So i recently started a Salting on some Peruvian Torch.
I am just curious as to if i have been doing everything right so far.
I did an Initial straight to base with a couple hundred grams of dried skins and some normal water. Once this was basified and "fluid" i added 250ML of Xylene.

I let this sit over night. I extracted all of that, i then proceeded to add roughly
1ml give or take by a minimal number of increments of HCL to 250ML of water.

Once i took off the xylene i poured this into the water with the HCL in it.

On the side i had another couple hundred grams of Cactus Skins STB soaking with Toulene.
I did the same thing added roughly a little bit more or less than 1ml of HCL to 250ML of water. I let the water stand with the solvents for about an hour, then i froze them.

After they were frozen i poured off the solvents, and i realized that there was alot of "shit" still floating in there. So i did it again. This time "not weird clouds" were in the solvent after the freeze. I then proceeded to add that to the reduction pot for the water which i am watching on a Constant basis.

I am just curious as to if i have used too much HCL.
I am simmering the water away on a stove until i get close to the "mother liquor"
At which point i will take the tray off the stove top and place it somewhere to dry.

Should i evade this step and just let everything dry naturally over a couple days?
Any advice, criticism ect. Is greatly apperciated.
