Hi guys, may I have some help identifying if this Naptha product is right?

Migrated topic.
From the ingredients listed it looks as though it'll do a reasonable job of extracting from the base soup. There's a possibility, on account of the aromatics it may contain (listed at the bottom, at <5%), that freeze precipitation may not be optimal. We don't know exactly how much less than 5% each of these components represents, but a top-of the head calculation shows that they will comprise an absolute maximum of 15% of the mixture. That would be your worst-case scenario.

It's best that you give it the evaporation test - indeed this is standard procedure as part of assessing the suitability of a solvent. If there appears to be a slow-evaporating residue after the majority of the solvent has evaporated more quickly you would have to be prepared to take further steps to purify any product as well as confront the possibility that obtaining the product via freeze precipitation might function suboptimally. At that point you might consider finding an alternative solvent.

There are workarounds and they are extensively explored around the forum.

Hello

Just my 2 cents. If i use lighter fluid i always "wash" the product with a gasoline that you use for wounds. You can buy it on amazon or your local pharmacy.
Just warm it a bit and then put it over the spice.
Pour that in your freeze thingy and leave the dirt in the other container.
I´m sure you find alot of information here.

Always do the evap test!!

I hope this helps a little and you will be succesful

Sorry for my writing. this is not my native language
