I always wondered if one could simply use a blow-dryer, on low, attached to an enclosed, vented box, or whether it's dangerous to use a blow-drier like that for an extended amount of time.
I think hooking a small fan instead of a light would work better. Seeing that the light would be drying with heat which could kill actives and air flow would be safe regardless of what your drying.
My auntie made hers using a bucket with a hole in the bottom, a 100W lightbulb (with holder), a mains voltage fan and wire mesh pan splatter guards. She stacks them up using the rings from removable-base cake tins. I'll ask her to take some photos for me.
